Chapter Thirty-Nine At 5:46 p.m. the Dome Guard still hadn’t found whoever it was they were looking for. I’d paced, braided Mari’s hair three times, wished I still had long hair of my own so I wouldn’t have to take my anxiety out on my little sister’s scalp. Mari gave up on playing with the tablet and drew invisible pictures on the floor. From the way she pursed her lips, she had a definite image in mind. I wished I could see whatever picture it was that kept her so focused.
