Chapter Seventeen My head pounded like my blood wanted to shatter my skull, and my throat was dry enough to make swallowing painful when I woke up early the next morning. I ignored the dehydration as I got out of bed to check the computer screen set into the wall. PAM didn’t have any notices for me. I pressed my forehead against the wall, grateful that, at the very least, I wouldn’t have to start my first day of the training program with a hangover.
