Chapter Thirteen I walked Mari to Miranda’s that night. If I could have skipped out on the assignment and stayed with Mari, I would have. But I couldn’t risk causing a fuss. Someone had attacked the domes, whether or not the guards wanted to admit it. Someone had set off a bomb, and the kep had no idea who’d done it. I waited outside my building for Walsh and silently followed him toward the atrium. He chatted, and I tried to nod and laugh to fill all the right pauses. But I couldn’t really hear what he was saying. I was too busy searching the halls for devices that might blow me apart.
