I watch as Alex leaves and I smile softly, grateful to have seen them again. I look down at Haze and relax now that he’s looking better. He looks up at me and I can tell he’s mad and I look away. I’ve never liked when Haze was mad.
"You promised to come back if you ever left your pack!" he hollers, standing up. I see Blake come over to defend me and I stand up and block him.
I look up at Haze, "I know I did and I'm sorry but I left the pack to get away from my dad. If I had gone back then my dad would’ve found me. I’m sorry Haze."
I feel my heart break as I see him mad and I hear Icicle whimper. "It’ll be ok Lex, he’s your mate and you're together now." She reminds me and I know she’s right, But still, I don't like seeing him mad.
I hear him sigh and he pulls me close and hugs me tigh
