Prologue Pt. 4

~Time skip: four years later(14)~

I fell asleep in Haze's room cuz we were watching a movie and Alex came in and laughed. I yawn and look over, "yea, ok Cuz what do you need this early?" I grumble cuz I still wanna sleep and I was comfortable. I start to sit up to go over to Alex but I get pulled back down by Haze.

"It's ok Lex, I'll just tell you from here tho your "prince charming" might wanna listen cuz this will affect both of you."

We both sit up at that but he pulls me into his lap. I lean my head against his chest and he wraps his arms around me pulling me closer, "ok douchebag, what did you need so bad you had to wake us up?"

Alex's sigh and shakes his head in mock disappointment then he looks up. "Lexie, your dad wants you back." My head shot up and I glared at Alex.

"I'm not going." I said immediately and Haze's grip on me tightened.

"Lexie, none of us wants this but you knew just like the rest of us that this was gonna happen someday." I sigh and look down. I didn't want to believe him but I knew he was right and I hated that.

"Then I'm-" Haze started.

"Haze you know you can't." Alex snapped.

"FINE THEN BUT I'M TAKING HER, SHE'S MY MATE." I looked up at him and I could see tears forming in his eyes. I hated this so f*****g much.

Soon after we got everything ready and we left. We were about a mile from the forest pack and I hated that I had to leave. I was going over all my memories from this place and I got pulled back to reality the minute I felt fangs pierce my neck. I press my back against Haze's chest, I close my eyes and tilt my head back against Haze’s chest and moan softly "H-Haze." I could feel him smirking but I didn't care nor did I stop him.

I feel him pull away and I look up at him and I feel myself start to cry but before I do I feel him press his lips against mine and I moan softly again. I turn towards him and kiss him back.

~Haze P.O.V~

I pull away and gently kiss her earlobe and whisper, "please, come back to me eventually, please." I've never begged anyone before but if that's what it takes for her to come back to me then so be it, I will.

I look down at her and I don't get a chance to say anything else before she kisses me and I don't hesitate, I immediately kiss her back.

I regretfully pull away, "we should get going." Even though neither of us wanted to, we did.
