“Is everything ok, Richard? I ask, placing my hand on his shoulder.
"Can we talk in private?" Richard replies, looking around for a secluded location.
"Well, I'm getting ready to start my shift. Can we meet later today?"
Richard gives me the address of a park. "Meet me at 6:00 pm," he says, handing me a sheet of paper and gently stroking my hand.
Laura and I go to my office and she helps me plan for the 4th of July celebration at the resort. I am happy to have her help and hope it will convince her to stay and work here.
I wonder what Richard wants to talk about. He has me nervous now, and that's not good because I can't focus on my job if I'm worried. Laura can read me like a book and immediately bombard me with questions.
"What was that about?" Asks Laura. She peels
