Shortly after the blonde wolf took off, leaving me to be alone, I hear several paws hitting the ground, and stopping before me. I stopped crying right before they showed up. I mind linked with my parents and told them what happened. They were thankful he was around, otherwise, I would have not been.. I kept thinking about the wolf that saved me. But why did he run away?
Hello.. A voice comes from the back of my head. It startled me at first. It was her!! Finally!!
I'm Akiela. Nice to finally meet you, Emery. She had a light toned voice. It was magical, and harmonic.
Nice to meet you!! I have so many questions for you! I said to her excited.
In due time. Right now we must focus on your first shift. It's time.
I look up into the sky and see the moon.
Will it hurt?
Yes, at first, but you will be alright. It becomes easier after each shift.
As I begin to brace myself, a strong pain echoed itself throughout my entire body, like I was hit by a lightening bolt. It vibrated my whole core, surging pain into every nerve and cell. I could feel my bones begin to snap, and twist itself into new shapes. I forgot to take my clothes off, I could feel my clothing begin to shred into little pieces. I look over to my mother, a little scared.
You can do it little dove. I hear my mother echo to me. My father stood there, tall and proud. His eyes dart across the tree lines, making sure I was still safe.
Slowly, I felt my hands turn and begin to shift into paws, my claws felt long and sharp under the earth below me. My hair, shaping into my fur closing itself around my body in the moonlight. The pain began to stiffle itself, and soon was gone. I glance around, everything seemed to have been magnified, and glowing with life. Each and every detail of the tree bark, every leaf seemed to have come to life and dancing about on their branches.
I can hear..EVERYTHING.. insects buzzing and scattering around and inside the trees, bats zipping and flying above and over our heads catching its prey of nightly sky bugs. I could hear burrowing from a distance.. maybe.. rabbit or fox? Thumping on the ground.. I can almost feel them.. running... deer!!
Are you ready? I hear the melodic voice coo in my ear again.
Let's go!! I said excitement building and overflowing inside my entire body.
My mother, my father, and the omegas and I took off into to the night to explore my newly found wolf senses. Usually you'd run off by yourself, but they didn't want me alone especially after what had transpired earlier.
Akiela, remind me to thank that wolf if I ever see him again.
Noted. I could feel her gleaming with excitement as well, she had been asleep all this time, awaiting my turning of age.
We eventually come to a steady stream that pooled downwards, into a small pond. Fireflies danced up and down, and burned bright like little lanterns floating across the water. Focusing, I can hear the hum of their wings.
I peered down at myself, at my new wolf. She was absolutely beautiful. Almost a white silver, the moonlight shimmered onto my new fur. Soft little tufs curled at the tips of my ears and down my chest. I look up at the moon again. Thank you goddess.
I take a long cold drink from the small pond. It tasted clean, and crisp. I feel the cold water trickle down my throat, replenishing me. I didn't realize how thirsty I was until now.
Time to go. I hear Akiela speak softly to me. It's time to hunt.
I'm ready. And with that, we were off again.
*Sebastián*
I run at full sprint, feeling the sting of my wounds down my neck and back. I don't know why I didn't stay.. but at least she's safe now. I didn't want to tell her just yet. She's been avoiding me since the breakup between me and Phebe. I tried to speak to her a few times, but she came up with excuses not to talk to me. Maybe she didn't like me that much after all.. or maybe she didn't want to deal with the drama Phebe would try to cause. Either way, it still hurt knowing my mate didn't want to talk to me. But I was afraid to upset her.
I could feel my wounds start to heal themselves. It still stung a bit, might even leave scars. Oh well, it didn't hurt me as much as it hurt seeing Emery cry like that.
Seeing her afraid of me, and those other wolves. I promise to always protect you. I thought to myself. Thankfully I was off on a run when I began to smell her scent. It lead me down, far into the woods. I was staring at her for a moment, when I then smelled intruders. I immediately moved to save her. I knew she didn't have her wolf yet, because she couldn't smell me and Agent whenever I was around her. I'm glad she's safe and sound now.
I stride up the back alleyway that led to my house, and into my backyard. I shift back into my human form, touching the spots where those rogues got ahold of me. Small cuts now, I pull my jeans on and walk up the steps and into my home. I head upstairs, and into my large room.
I turn, looking into the mirror that stretched across one of the walls of my room. I had dried blood mixed with dirt and small pieces of bloodied grass covering my face, arms, and across my chest. A nice hot shower will do the trick. I walk over to my dresser, pulling out a folded pair of dark grey sweatpants, a pair of my boxers, and head to my master bathroom.
I still ached a bit from the fight. I turn the hot shower on, and let the steam build up before stepping in. As I begin scrubbing the left over mess off my body, bits by bits my body becoming clean again.
Closing my eyes, my mind went right to Emery again. Her eyes, her hair, her smell, her lips, her breasts..she was filling my senses again.. I reach down, fully erect now, and began stroking myself to the thought of her until I came. I turn the shower off, wrap a towel around me, and laid flat across my bed. Soon, sleep had quickly engulfed me.
