Joker left the room shortly after I thanked him and he hasn't come back all night.
I'm still scared of him, just because he did one nice thing doesn't make him a good person.
I sighed and got up from the bed, I went to see if the door was locked, I tried the handle and it opened.
I poked my head out and no one was to be seen, I smiled and let out a shaky breath, hopefully my luck doesn't run out.
I walked until I came to the stairs, I went down them slowly and no one was down stairs either, then I saw it.
The front door.
The door to my freedom.
This is too easy...
I walked slowly and went up to it, it was locked. "s**t!" I whispered in panic.
I looked around and there was a key laying on the bench, why would the key be right there? I took it and tried unlocking the door and it clicked, I opened it and the sun almost blinded me.
I walked out and closed the door behind me. And I ran.
I ran down the empty street, running like a wolf was chasing me.
I finally ran out of breath and stopped by a tree, I walked from there.
By now I was about 12-15ish minutes away from that hellhouse, I saw tall buildings and thought 'it must be the city' I smiled tiredly and kept walking.
When I reached the city, I stayed in allyways, asking people around me for the nearest police station but when I would ask someone, another person would say it's in the opposite direction, I quickly got lost.
Trying not to get caught or seen, I looked like a mess, but so did the homeless people surrounding me, I looked like I fit in so well, so I stayed there for about an hour or so..
