Even though he'd already confessed before, hearing him speak so freely of it sent my heart pounding. Especially with the way he stared at me with so much sincerity. I couldn't find myself arguing because he'd not only stolen my breath, but my words. Instead, I just turned to stare out the window. Even if he was sitting beside me, it didn't mean I'd have to stay close to him. Maybe I should just go to sleep and wake up to see everything's over.
