Chapter 2

Wake up, please.

Who are you?

I am your lycan. You need to wake up. Your mate is near.

MY WHAT?!

Your mate. He found you and has been ecstatic since. Your parents won't let an unknown wolf into your room though. They don't want to risk losing you.

But... My parents are supposed to let me see my mate, are they not?

You don't know who your mate is yet, meaning neither do your parents. Only I do as I can see outside your body.

If I wake up, will I still hurt everywhere?

No, we've been out for 2 weeks now. Plea-

2 weeks?! How? Then how'd my mate find me?

He's part of the Midnight Moon pack. He caught your scent when you were being carried to the doctors.

But I thought I met everyone in that pack. Who is he?

You have to wake up to find that out. I don't know everything you want to know. As you started to get better I was pulled back into your body and the hole of silence and darkness.

How do I wake myself up then? Do I have to just want to do it?

As far as I know all you have to do is think about it and if your body is ready you'll wake up in a moment's time.

"She's waking up! Gabriel please leave. I'll call you back when she wants to see you. If not you'll have to wait until she gets out of here."

"Fine, but if she's sleeping I will be back in here."

"Yes, I know but if she says she doesn't want anyone, I can't ignore an Alpha's order."

"Sure, sure. Bye."

"Time to wake up now, Sam. We've all been waiting."

I slowly opened my eyes, I smelt that vanilla and fresh rain scent again. I wanted to find out what it was. Everyone else seemed to just be worried about me.

"I'm fine, guys. Jeez."

"Do you know how long you were out for? You scared half to death." says Jake clutching his hand to his chest.

"Only you would say that, Jakey. Where's Blake?"

"He was told to step out. When you started to wake up he was hyperventilating."

"Oh okay. Well, hope he's better. Hey, doc, when can I leave this place?"

"Right now if you want. You're all healed up and all your vitals are good. Just remember to check in if anything doesn't feel quite right."

"Will do, thanks, doc. See you around."

I walked out of the hospital and was once again hit with the aroma of vanilla and rain.

Mate!

What?!

A few seconds later the most handsome man I had ever seen ran over to me.

"Mine!"

Jake gasped, "Alpha! She's your mate?"

I was shocked. The next Alpha of the Midnight Moon pack was my mate? But he was my mate and nothing was going to change that. He smelt just like what I smelt when I first woke up. He was obviously sitting beside me the whole time I was out.

I already love him and I haven't even met him yet.

He cared about me even when we didn't know each other.

After Gabriel made sure I was alright, he said goodbye and left. I made my way to my room in the pack house to get cleaned up and into better clothes. Afterwards, I went downstairs to eat and saw that my mate was chatting with Jake and Blake. As soon as I entered the kitchen all the boys turned around to face me. When Blake ran over to me and hugged me, Gabriel growled at him and wrapped his arm around my waist possessively.

"Mine!" he growled.

"What? What do you mean? She's your mate?!!" exclaimed Blake, Jake stood beside him nodding.

"Yes she is. I didn't know for sure until her wolf spoke to mine."

"Boys, don't fight. Gabe, please let go of me, I need to eat something."

As soon as he let go of me I ran to the fridge to grab the raspberries I saw, before Jake came over to us. They just laughed at me, shoving raspberries in my face. I didn't notice when Trish and Caleb came in, but soon I saw Caleb growling at me and Trish smirking. I didn't let the boys know they were there, but waited until Caleb sauntered over to me. He grabbed my ass, earning a growl from Gabriel. I looked at him as if saying, "I'll deal with him. He's not a big problem."

After getting growled at, Caleb looked at me and said, "You found your mate?"

"Actually he found me, but ya. I got a mate. You can go f**k yourself if you're going to be an ass, or my mate will do it for you."

"s**t! Trish we are leaving now. As far as we know Alpha Gabriel could be her mate and he's scary as shit."

"Damn right I'm her mate." growled Gabe. Eyeing Caleb and Trish as if they were his next enemy.

"Leave now or you will regret it. I have just as much power as my mate, I am an alpha, too. Also as you now know, I am a lycan. I could beat your ass any day."

Trish and Caleb turned and bolted out of the pack house. I could smell the fear radiating off of them.

"You're a big, bad, Alpha, are you now?" I whispered to Gabe.

"Sure am. Even though you have nothing to worry about, mate." he replied, earning a glance from Jake and Blake. They didn't know I was a lycan until Caleb made me blurt it out.

"We'll leave you guys alone. I bet you have some things to discuss." said Jake, as him and Blake walked out of the pack house. I watched them disappear around the bend in the road.

Gabriel looked at me quizzically, "You're a lycan? And what did you mean 'as you now know'?"

"Yes I am a lycan. I am a white lycan so my parents didn't want anyone to know. Thats why the rouges were here and why they attacked me. All the males wanted to be my mate, so when your pack arrived a month ago, Jake and Blake pretended that I was one of their mates. I wore their shirts and slept in the same bed as them to make my scent smell like theirs."

He growled when I mentioned sleeping with Jake and Blake. "You slept with them?! Bu-"

"I slept in the same bed, yes. But all they were doing was keeping me safe until my actual mate could find me. Now wouldn't you think they did a good job considering the two of them fought like 20 rouges by themselves, I also didn't get forcefully marked thanks to me smelling like them."

"I can thank them for that. But I can't get too mad since they are my Beta and Gamma."

"I'm going for a walk, wanna come with?"

"Hell yeah I'm coming. I'm not going to lose you to some asshole."

Gabriel watched me adoringly as I walked out the front door. I gestured for him to follow me as I went around the back of the house to go to my secluded spot in the forest, away from prying eyes. He had a questionable look in his eyes but followed me anyway.
