When she's still living her life as Ynna, it was something that she wouldn’t even dare to imagine. There were lots of vanity mirrors and a group of four women was waiting there. As a client, she sat on a comfortable chair and the four women started with their job while the two women who brought her there left for a moment. The woman with short hair is giving her a foot massage, the blonde girl is cleaning her fingernails, the girl with twin pigtails is massaging her hair with water and shampoo while the other one is preparing her clothes and everything she will use after the makeover.
Doing nothing and sitting in a chair for four hours gave her immense back pain. But as Reina stares at her own reflection, the make-over is a total success. In the webtoon, Reina was always shown wearing her old clothes, messy hair, and dark-circled eyes. She looked like she had aged a lot inside the webtoon even though she was only twenty-three years old. And now, it is the first time she actually sees herself as a sophisticated woman.
She is wearing a black off-shoulder dress with intricate rose embroidery using gold thread, the length of the skirt is shorter on her front and longer on her back. Her bare neck is adorned with a necklace that contains five diamonds of different sizes. Her earrings are also from the diamond set her father bought a while ago. Reina’s straight brown hair is styled into a French braid, also adorning her hair with hair clips made with Swarovski crystals. Her makeup was flawless, it was thin but highlighting her features. She is also wearing black stilettos to finish with her look.
“T-thank you, everyone.” Reina couldn’t help but smile. As a former reader of the webtoon, this is what she hoped for in the original Reina, a chance of redemption.
“You’re welcome, Miss Reina.” Dana suddenly pops out of nowhere. She is smiling, pleased with the makeover. “Your father is waiting for you, Miss Reina. Please let me show you the way to our VIP lounge.”
She nods lightly and walks together with Dana. The lady opened the door for her and instructed her to enter first. Don Mauro is smiling, almost teary-eyed. He immediately hugged her. Reina also had the urge to hug her father. She felt like a heavy object was finally lifted from her shoulders. Reina Del Rosario will have a new life and will never follow the original plot.
“Finally! My daughter is really back!” Don Mauro is laughing while squeezing her.
“Thank you for giving me a second chance, Dad.”
Her father pats her back gently. “You are my only treasure. I will do anything for you, Reina.”
* * * *
Three days have passed. Reina stayed at her father’s mansion and decided to lie low. She doesn’t want Leandro to know about the divorce. Or else, he will do something about it. Her wealth as a Del Rosario is the only reason why her husband is not openly torturing her. But on the webtoon, the original Reina was abused because of Ailyn’s accident. It was a scheme that was made by her father. Unfortunately, she was the one who took the blame for everything.
The Del Rosario mansion is a two-storey house with at least ten rooms. It's spacious and it has luxurious facilities, like a home theater for fifteen people, a studio that the original Reina uses for her paintings, a gym, an indoor swimming pool and sauna, and a greenhouse with lavender – her favorite flowers.
Reina wanted to try painting a portrait but she couldn’t. For the past three days, she couldn’t contain her energy. She is not the type to sit still and do nothing. Being active, stressing herself over a lot of workloads is something she is used to. As a result, she is tending the flowers in the greenhouse, silently thinking about her future as Reina.
“M-Miss? There’s someone who wants to see you.” A maid in her early twenties is stuttering. She is skeptical, but she doesn’t dare to say why.
“Who is it?”
Before the maid could answer her question, the familiar brusque man entered the greenhouse. “Me!” Leandro was dashing with his indigo-colored suit and boyish grin. Reina used to fall head over heels because of that smile. “Why are you here?”
“I… I will let the both of you talk for a moment –” the maid was agitated because Leandro’s aura was oozing with anger.
“I’m not interested in conversing with him. Please, show him the way out of here.” Reina brushed off Leandro’s gaze and continued her chores, watering the plants.
Leandro is shocked. He is staring at his wife, yet he feels like he's looking at another person. Reina is wearing a peach flowing dress and flat white shoes. Her long hair is braided and a peach ribbon is tied at the end of the knot. She wears thin, casual makeup. She looks like her eighteen-year-old self. The sweet and naive picture of his wife taunted him.
“I don’t understand… What do you mean? Are you throwing me away?” Leandro’s tone was sharp, trying his best to suppress his anger.
“Yes. Isn’t it obvious?” Reina’s demeanor is cold. She did not spare any glance at Leandro.
The maid fell silent because of the tension. She remained still, standing between the two, but her gaze was fixed on Reina. It was her first time to see the lamb-like Reina as an aloof and arrogant woman. The old Reina, who bent her head with a slight provocation, was standing like a proud scarlet flower. She felt that she was seeing another persona in her.
Leandro is smiling with a hint of disgust. “Is this your new game? Trying a hard-to-get move to get my attention?”
Like a thin thread, Reina’s patience snapped on her head. She focuses her gaze on Leandro. “I know that you’re narcissistic, but I didn’t know that you were also dumb. Can’t you see that I’m living my life peacefully without a care about your well-being?” She put the water can on the side and walked towards Leandro, crossing her arms to her chest. “I don’t care if you drop dead on the streets, so why are you still here? Are you trying to act like a good faithful husband in front of me?” She arches her eyebrows in disgust.
Leandro’s eyebrows almost formed into one line because of his frustration. “Fine. Stay here. But I’m warning you, you don’t have to come to my house!”
Reina laughs loudly as if she is watching a comedy sitcom. “Who needs your house anyway? Just move your ass and get the f*ck out of here.”
