    Evelyn got home and kicked off her shoes. Her mind was reeling from the memories that Maura had released for her. She threw herself onto her sofa, she didn't have the energy to deal with these emotions. She sighed as she remembered their fevered meeting in the tree line along the beach. The heights he took her to, shook her to her core. But then she remembered their conversation outside the nightclub. Her father paid him to find her. He used their mate pull to trick her. That hurt the most.      "A couple of thousand dollars! That's all I was worth to him!" She slammed her fist against the cushions of her sofa in angry hurt.
