Going home first to change before heading to Lily’s house all the way on the other side of pack seems like such a chore I don’t think I can manage, so the minute I feel like my presence won’t be missed, I leave the school premises.
As I walk, barely conscious of my environment, the buildings passing by me in a blur, I replay the last twenty four hours in my head, needing to pinpoint where I could have misread things.
