“Already.” His eyes tracked over the lines wrapping around his arm. “I can’t wait to come back.” The sincerity in his voice warmed something inside me that had been cold for a very long time. He stood and stretched before pulling his wallet from his back pocket. Then he produced a business card. “My number.” He set it on the workstation. “Go through your books and figure out when you want to do the next session.” I glanced down at the card. Then back up at him. “Okay.” “How much do I owe you?” “Six hundred.” He didn’t even blink. Instead he pulled several bills from his wallet and laid them on the station.
