Jose Luis walked up the solemn pathway until he reached the second apartment on the left next to the laundry room. The familiar whirl of washing machines and dryers ringed in his ears. He continued nervously pacing in front of the door eager to finally knock and announce himself. Finally, he mustered the courage to do so. He could smell pollo guisado cooking inside.
