She's alone again in the middle of the wilderness. She got lost again without even noticing it. She wonder if her guild mates even noticed her absence. Cialie pouted and just dropped on the ground sighing at her own misfortune. This is not new to her and even to her guild mates. She always end up wandering off on her own during missions. In the end, her guild mates would finish the job while she did nothing.
Looking around her, she saw unfamiliar trees and plants. She mentally knocked herself in the head when she realized that she went deeper in the forest away from the safety of the charm barrier that wards off the rabid and wild beasts of this whole forest.
She better get back to the safe zone before everything went out of control. Its getting darker and and the wind started to blow violently above her. She looked up only to see dark clouds gathering as the howl of the wind forced the trees to bend from its force.
What is this? Is there a storm?
She wasn't able to think anymore when she saw the trees started to get uprooted. Without thinking anymore she sprinted and avoided the flying obstacles that blocked her path. The strong gusts of wind made it hard for her to open her eyes to see clearly what's ahead of her but that didn't slow her down. Using her keen hearing she managed to dodge whatever comes her way.
She kept running but the storm just got stronger. The whistles the wind touched her ears when suddenly she saw something from afar that made her stop on her tracks.w
What was that? or is it a who?
Her mind was occupied by the thing she saw. Something she'd never seen before. She wasn't sure if what she saw was real or just a product of her already dilerious mind but before she can move to confirm whatever it is something hit her hard at the back of her head making her drop heavily on the ground as her head throb from pain. Before she lost her consciousness she saw it moving towards her. And then everything went black.
Not far from where Cialie drop there was a man that was covered in an all black clothing. He had an annoyed expression plastered on his face as he walked closer to where the girl was lying. He can't see properly from all the wind and dust flying around him and that made him so annoyed.
This storm was made by the harpies who are living in this area of the Forbidden Forest. He knew that those creatures loves creating chaos and havoc whenever the chance pops up.
Using his hand as a shield from the raging wind he slowly sauntered towards the unconscious body that he had yet to see.
Zian was having a hard time seeing and it won't be long now before his patience snap and cause more trouble than just a storm.
I've had enough.
[Skill: Shield of Endurance] (Activated)
[Skill: Purple Eyes] (Activated)
Upon activating his skills he was able to move comfortably without being bothered by the chaotic winds outside his shield. His purple eyes gave him the ability to see whatever is inside his five meter radius limit.
He knew better than go against the will of those damned Harpies. They can wreck havoc for all he care. Just leave him alone.
He was busy watching his footsteps when finally he saw the body of Cialie. His eyes widened in surprise.
What is that?
He walked closer and closer until he is already standing in front of her unconscious body.
Human? What is a mere human doing in this dangerous forest?
He knelt in beside her body felt her pulse. There is a faint beating on her neck indicating that she is barely alive. He tried to pushed her golden hair away from her face but before he could do that he felt something wet from her hair.
Upon closer inspection, he discovered that the woman was bleeding. His mind went blank and he gawked at the lying body in front of her.
Humans are so fragile.
That's why he doesn't want to be associated with them. He avoided humans his entire life and now he will see a half dead human woman a couple inches away from him.
He wanted to leave. He just wanted to ignore her like he would usually do to other human beings. He would, but there is something odd about this human. Before he could think properly he already have her in his arms and carried her carefully as he cradled her to his chest.
[Skill: Leap] (Activated)
With precise steps and leaps, he moved farther and away from the territory of the Harpies. He managed to get away within five minutes and now he is in the safety of the charm barrier.
[Skill: Shield of Endurance] (Deactivated)
[Skill: Purple Eyes] (Deactivated)
[Skill: Leap] (Deactivated)
He will now just walk the distance to his temporary shelter. Hopefully, they have something in that small inn that can treat her wounded neck.
The moment Cialie opened her eyes she's already in an unfamiliar room. She abruptly stood up completely forgetting that she had a wound behind her head. She hiss in pain as she felt the bandage wrapped around her head with her fingers. She sat back on the bed carefully as she scanned the whole room.
It's a wooden room illuminated by the lamp from the bed side table. The room is devoid of any other appliances except for the small bed she's sitting, a single chair place beside the bed and the side table with the lamp. Just opposite her bed is an open window with a white curtain that swayed whenever there is a breeze.
"So you're awake"
She didn't notice that someone already entered the room while her mind is busy scanning the place. Her instinct made her crawl to the farthest side of the bed away from the stranger and hid herself on the blanket showing only her eyes as she glared at the smiling man standing in the open door.
"W-who are you and w-where am I?"
She swallowed the lump that form on her throat that made her voice tremble as she speaks. The man took a step inside, his steps are so light they produce almost no sound. Her hand held the blanket tighter as she mentally readied herself if ever this man decides to attack her. She can't just lower her guard even gor a second. She's in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people who knows what will happen if ever she let these people deceive her. It would only mean death.
When he's already a meter away from the bed she finally got the chance to look at him closely. Her mind went wild when she saw how handsome he is. If her eyes could just transform it would already be shaped as a heart.
So handsome!
He had a hair the color of the sky that instantly calm her troubled mind. His facial features are even more better. His thick blue brows is almost hidden by his long bangs but what captivated her more is his purple eyes that is framed with his long blue eyelashes. He's simply beautiful. Her eyes can't stop admiring him.
His simple outfit of a black long-sleeved shirt and a black pants complimented his fair skin while enhancing his blues to the highest level. This is a rare beauty she set her eyes upon.
"You're in the Marbel's Inn. I'm Lucavi the grandson of the owner of this inn. The man living next to your room is the man who brought you here. You were hurt but I'm glad it's nothing serious. You've been out for a whole day."
Whole day?!
He gave her a quick bow and then chant a spell. She flinched when there was a sudden flash of light and after that she saw him holding a tray of food on his hands.
"I bet you're hungry. Eat first. I'll let the man next room know you're awake"
He left the food on the bedside table. She slowly relaxed her body and crawled towards the sweet aroma of the food.
"U-um... T-thank you for taking care of me" she voice out timidly which only earned a small smile and a nod from him and then he is already out of the room.
She graciously savored the taste of the delicious food he left her with . She didn't know she was this hungry if he didn't brought her foods.
I'm eating a day's worth of food.
She finishes it in no time. The moment her stomach felt full her eyes felt heavy. She didn't had the chance to deny her drowsiness. She wants to show her gratitude to the one who helped her when she was unconscious in that cursed forest but her tired body won't listen to her mind.
She'll just thank him tomorrow and then leave this place.
