EPISODE 10

"Are you with someone?" She asked, the woman's voice was so loud that she couldn't hear him.

"Althea." Kale answered.

Her heart felt nothing but a stinging truth. They are dating again.

Sabina met Althea when she was just seventeen, which was also the first time she met Kale. Señior Antonio brought her straight to his home after she was discharged from the hospital. Out of pity, the old man adopted her as his only granddaughter.

During this hot and sensitive issue about her legal adoption, Althea decided to break up with Kale and pursue her modeling career abroad.

Kale never approved but Althea made her decision. Sabina thought that Kale would forget about his ex-girlfriend and move on but Sabina knew they were still seeing each other. She saw and read some articles about them meeting secretly abroad and checking in and out of hotels, the paparazzi would always manage to catch them and expose their affair. Even when Kale never clarified anything about Althea, she knew that Kale always had feelings for her.

"Are you going to keep wasting my time?" She heard his cold tone again. For the first time she felt that coldness, freezing her heart.

"Don't bother coming to my home from now on, Kale. This is my house and I will decide who stays and who doesn't. Mr. Dante and Cate will stay here with me so I don't need you to keep me safe. Goodbye." She monotoned.. she sounded like a lifeless computer operator. Void of all emotions.

Is it possible that she was just imagining Kale's feelings for her? What about those passionate nights? Those nights he said he couldn't get enough of her? Was that just... lust? Not love?

'My heart doesn't believe so.' She thought while hugging herself, she remembered how Kale held her and tenderly expressed his hunger for her. Not even the best actor could fake that intensity, right?

'Should I confront his real feelings for me?' Sabina prompted an idea but soon it was melted away with fear of hearing Kale's answer might not be what she expected. She was afraid to break her own heart, she decided she was not ready for that kind of heartbreak.

Maybe it was better to delay it until she was sure that Kale didn't really love her.

Her heart felt so broken by thinking of the worst possible answers for her question and she was definitely not ready to hear it soon.

'Kale, if you don't love me then I will love you hard until I run out of affection!' Sabina always viewed love like a glass of water, the more someone wastes it the faster it runs empty. So she will let him waste all that love until she is empty and after that, she won't have any feelings left for him to play with.

Kale immediately froze in his seat after what he heard. Sabina has never spoken to her that way before. Never!

"What happened?" Althea noticed his mood was ruined.

"I'm done for the night." Kale immediately stood up. He handed her a card and walked away, his mind was racing with nothing but anger. 'Did she think that after getting the house and car, she could just do whatever she wants?'

'She will not act so strong and mighty while I'm alive and while she's still a member of the Caddel family!'

'Did she already forget her place? Owning a villa and a fancy car already made her so arrogant! What happened to the sweet and nice angel of the Caddel family? Did she get tired of pretending and finally showed her true colors?' Kaleo drove with his mind racing with anger, he needed to control this woman!

Kale found her house already locked and when he tried to open the door using the password code '00-00-00', it denied him access.

She has placed a new password!

He slammed his fist and banged the door angrily to wake her up but no one opened the door for him. He cursed while he dialed Mr. Dante's number.

"Open the door." He ordered him after he picked up the call.

"Mr. Kale, I-I can't. Ms. Sabina did not let us know about the security code." He heard Dante's reply and that only infuriated him more. He ended the call before he could speak unpleasant words to him.

'Sabina! You've got some nerve!'

Sabina was still awake when Kae arrived outside her house and banged her door. She was in the kitchen to fetch a glass of water when she heard him, she listened behind the door and she heard him make a call to Dante. She knew he would order Dante to open the door for him so she changed the password of the security lock and kept the emergency key in her room.

She didn't want to see him tonight. She felt so betrayed after she found out that Kale went out to have a date. With his ex!

'Did they spend the night together before he came here?'

The thought of him touching another woman made her cry, but more than that she felt like throwing up!

She immediately ran back to her room and emptied her stomach over the sink. Her room was dark and only the bathroom light was on while she continued to throw up her dinner. She did not notice the pair of frosty grey eyes that watched her from behind.

She brushed her teeth and gargled after she was done, she stopped herself from thinking about Kale and his disgusting affairs so she could get some break from her aching heart.

She was about to exit the bathroom when her ringing phone inside her white robe startled her.

He's calling again!

She decided to put her phone on silent mode and trashed it inside a drawer. She crawled into her bed and forced herself to get some sleep but before she could drip off to sleep she heard someone speak from the dark saying, "Hiding from me?"

Her eyes snapped open, "W-what?" She immediately turned her light on, the lamp shade lit the place and it was enough for her to see through the poor abundance of light in her room.

"K-Kale?" Her mouth almost dropped from her jaw, she was surprised to find Kale inside her room but she was more concerned about his sharp icy eyes that almost shaped like blades stabbing her.

She swallowed her fear nonetheless and asked, "How did you get in?"

"You left your windows open."
