LUNA JILLIAN  “I think Margaret should rest now,” I said to Alpha Victor, my voice soft and convincing as I watched him standing near the door of our daughter’s room. “She’s been through a lot today, and she needs some time to sleep.” Victor glanced at me, then at Margaret, who was lying in the bed, her eyes closed, pretending to be exhausted. She had learned the art of playing her part well.
