Now that the issue of Joana's pregnancy was settled within their household, Elijah felt a newfound sense of calm compared to before. Michaela appeared to grow happier with each passing day, eagerly discussing her future sibling during their nightly dinners. While the task of broaching the topic with his parents still loomed ahead, he recognized he had some time; his father wasn't strolling around the penthouse to witness Joana's growing belly, unlike Michaela who saw the changes unfolding before her eyes.
A part of him toyed with the idea of maintaining the falsehood and informing his parents that he wasn't the father. Yet, he understood it would be futile with Michaela running around. Eight-year-olds weren't exactly the best at keeping secrets.
