He waited for a pause in the music, then skillfully led Joana through a sequence of steps - left, right, back, and forth. Surprisingly, with his guidance, moving in sync with him felt effortless. Before long, they were twirling around the colonnade, accompanied by the faint melodies and the serene chirping of crickets, sharing laughter. As the music reached its conclusion, Erwin dipped Joana. Pausing at the dip's apex, their breathless faces hovered close enough for Joana to catch a whiff of citrus on his breath. Her heart raced, cheeks flushing red as his gaze briefly flickered down to her lips. Swiftly, Erwin lifted Joana back onto her feet and gracefully stepped away with a bow and a flourish.
