A shudder rippled through me. I was screwed if this was how I was going to respond to him. At least I"d have fun while that happened. My breathing speed escalated as I made a split second decision. Their smells overwhelmed me, but instead of feeling like dinner, as I should have, I felt like the safest deer in the forest. These men wouldn’t let anyone hurt me. They’d keep me safe. “Yes,” I whispered. Victory gleamed in Cas’s eyes, and his mouth fell on mine. I wasn’t exactly petite, but he towered over me like I was nothing more than a child.
