Chapter 27: The Hard Way October 15. 8:28 A.M. I’d barely slept, even though I’d been alone in the waiting room all night, and the couch wasn’t too bad, for a hospital couch. But every bone in my body ached and I couldn’t move my right arm for over ten minutes. My shoulders felt like someone had dropped cement blocks on them. My chest was heavy and my ribs felt tight. Both hips creaked in pain. Of course, stretching and a few yawns helped, and a healthy piss got me believing I was feeling better, but I was still definitely not at one hundred percent, and I wouldn’t be until I learned that Pax had surfaced from unconsciousness.
