9:53 P.M.
Gray and I had both had one too many cocktails at our practice wedding, so we were lucky we didn’t have to drive anywhere. It was a short walk from Cabella Hall to the main house and then to our bedroom on the second floor. After our guests’ departures and our kind thanks for their attendance, we stumbled hand in hand across the barnyard, enjoying the beautiful starry night, and we eventually made our way inside, up the stairs, and into our bedroom.
