It took Cam the rest of the day to rub the ropes around her wrists against the wooden crate before they started to fray. When she finally freed her hands she undid the rope around her ankles. It was night now and pitch dark inside the building, but there was enough moonlight to see some of what was outside. She quietly tried the door, but it was locked. The only other exit was through a window on the side of the shed. Peering outside, she scanned the compound. There didn’t seem to be anyone around. She carefully tried the window. It slid slowly upward. She silently moved one of the crates over to the window and climbed up on it.
