Chapter 4: Rekindled Heat.
(After breakfast)
MIA's POV.
I had a talk with Harrison's mum after breakfast.
We sat in the sunroom where the sunlight streamed through the tall windows warming the room.
"This marriage is..." she began.
"It's a business transaction," I said.
Mrs. Delacroix, not missing a beat says, "Love grows in strange soils, dear."
"It can die there too," I said.
"You knew Harrison and I were in a relationship before...why did you agree to this marriage?" I asked.
"Because you two are already in love."
"Not anymore," I say.
"Oh dear, you should see how you two look at each other. If that's not love, then I don't know what is. You were once in love with him, it'll grow back."
"I chose you rather than a someone I didn't know."
"Harrison wants to be a dad someday. Are you a hundred percent sure he'd have that with me."
"I don't think so," I continued.
"That will happen, he needs a child before assuming full right of his inheritance," she said as she got up and went about her day.
I sat there for a bit processing the new information I had just got in.
I was confused because I wasn't going to let Harrison ever touch my body.
"Does Harrison know that?" I wondered.
As I went out, I saw Zac, Harrison's assistant walk into his room.
Zac used to be his driver in high school. He was quite young then as he'd just gotten out of college. We used to hangout a lot together, the four of us.
Harrison, Zac, Chloe and I.
We were happy then but all of us had something we wanted to hide.
Not just me but Chloe and Harrison too.
That was when I realized there was more to life than meets the eye.
___
HARRISON's POV
"What's the update today?" I asked as soon as I saw Zac walk in.
"You have two meetings this morning and a lunch meeting with investors and dinner at Rosehill Hotel at 8pm with Mia."
"Did Mum arrange the dinner?" I asked.
"Yes"
"I thought as much."
"Are you going to tell her?"
"What?"
"Tell Mia what really happened and that you didn't just disappear."
"Of course not."
"I can't tell her that. It'd break her and I don't want that."
"Alright."
"The car is already out. Come when you're ready," he said.
I finished dressing and went to work.
Upon arriving, I found someone who shouldn't even think of being in my office there__Morello Johnson.
My worst enemy.
"What are you doing here," I asked keeping a calm voice.
"Saw the news this morning," he said.
"And?"
"You're marrying Mia?"
"Yes, I am."
"She's mine, you know that," he said.
I chuckled.
"Last time I checked, you never got in a relationship with her and the ring on her finger now is mine not yours."
"It's about time, you let go of your fantasy. She has always been mine and will always be mine," I said firmly.
I left for my meetings, leaving him in my empty office.
MORELLO's POV
I was out of town and the first news I hear when I get back is that Harrison, my worst enemy was getting married to Mia, the woman I yearn for.
Mia was everything one could ask for.
Her beauty, her body, her personality...she had it all.
The game isn't over till it's over.
Watch me Harrison.
I'm going to destroy you.
___
(At Dinner)
MIA's POV
"I didn't know we were meeting for dinner," I said.
"Mum arranged it," Harrison replied.
"What do you think of our marriage now?" He asked.
"Is there anything to think about?"
"It's business and that's all it is."
I wanted to ask him about what his Mum said but I didn't. If she told me, she can tell him too and all this will go away.
"Our estate will be ready by next week. Then you can start moving in," he said.
I raised an eyebrow, "What?" I asked.
"Are you going to live in your house even after we get married?"
"We need a home for ourselves."
"Okay," I said.
The tension was heavy as the food was placed in front of us,
"Do you need to have a child to take full ownership of your inheritance?" I blurted out.
Without even looking up, "Yes," he replied.
Shocked. I asked, "If you knew that, why are you marrying me? Your mum told me this morning. I thought you didn't know."
"It's my inheritance, of course I know," he said.
"We're not an actual couple. I can't give you a child," I said.
"Then we'll become one and I'll have a child then. Simple right," he said.
I stared in disbelief.
"I intend on making you mine, Mia," he said, looking right up at me.
"You were always mine and it'll remain that way," he continued.
"I need to use the restroom," I said and walked away, feeling my cheeks get red.
Harrison came in and shut the door right behind me.
"What are you doing?" I asked, almost screamimg, as I walk past him to go and open the door.
He grabbed me by my wrists and pinned me behind the door with my hands up still holding me.
He got so close to me, I felt his breath on me. The one I never thought I'd feel again.
Harrison has always been sexy when he did things like that.
"I want you, Mia," he said.
"Get off of me," I said, struggling to break free from his grasp.
It only got tighter.
He kissed me so aggressively, he made me feel the fire I once felt. Making me want him more and more by the second.
His hands run up my thigh and before I knew it, his fingers were so close, it made me squirt.
" You want me too, don't you?" He said.
"Just tell me you do," he continued and he gave me a huge kiss and my neck.
I couldn't control myself any longer.
"I do," I said.
"I knew you did."
He picked me up so put me on the sink and I kissed him so hard.
I had missed those lips. His smell. His feel. His hands made me feel things I didn't know I was capable of.
I was wearing a short pink silk dress, which was now on the floor and I was half naked.
I took off his necktie and before I could continue, I heard myself moan.
His fingers were in me. He was fingering me so fcking good.
"Oh, that's good," I said.
" You like that?"
"Yeah"
He took off his pants and he was thrusting in me like crazy. He went deep, which made my heart burn even hotter.
He knew the right spot to hit.
His hands caressed my ass and fondled my breasts like never before.
Sex was good but even better with Harrison. He knew what I liked and he was good at it.
