HOMOPHOBIC (KELLY’S POV)

“She likes me?”, my insides were so excited that I could barely sleep through out the night although the thought of her asking me all of a sudden if by chance her boyfriend asked for a thresome with us if I would permit was really weird though buh then again I didn’t let the thought bother me much because she shoved it away the moment I gave a negative response to her question.

“Urghhh why does the days have to go so fast when you start enjoying them”, I groaned to myself as I woke up that Friday morning, it was the day for me to go back home, “Good morning sunshine, hope you slept well?, are you really going today?, isn’t it possible for you to stay longer?, I miss you so much already”, Ashley’s text read, I wonder why she can’t tell me all this in person when I’m just right next to her, “I can’t mama, I have a lot of things to sort out at home, don’t worry though I will come see you again once I’m done sorting them out and I miss you already too probably more”, I replied although it was a bit of a lie, I was actually going home because of Emerald and I didn’t want to disappoint her since I promised to hangout with her once I got back today and she’s been having issues with her boyfriend micheal lately and it’s taking a toll on her and I need to be there for her because well I’m her only friend and confidant, “Kay kay, I will miss you so much though”, Ashley texted, “I will miss you more mama”, I replied immediately as I dropped my phone and went to the bathroom, after showering for a few minutes and came out all dressed I figured that it was just I and Garry in the room as I picked up my phone and saw that Ashley had left a text message for me, “I went out babe, I will text you later.. have a safe trip, love youu”, the text read, “tch she could have just waited to see me off at least”, I sighed almost in whispers as I started packing my belongings, “will you like to have some breakfast before leaving?”, Garry asked which caught me by surprise, he never really talks me except in dire situations since I got here lol he must be so happy that I’m leaving, “no, thanks, I don’t like eating whenever I’m going a distance in a four wheeled vehicle”, I said as I let out a weak smile hoping it seemed genuine, although my explanation might have seemed like an excuse buh that was the truth, I always got car sick whenever I ate something before embarking on a trip, “oh okay”, he said as he continued watching the football match he was watching, after a few minutes of packing my stuffs I bid Garry goodbye and entered my cab and left.

As I reached home I was so exhausted but I still needed to go see Emerald immediately, I wanted to call her first but on a second thought surprising her would make a better effect so I rushed into the bathroom and took a quick shower and threw on some clothes and packed my hair in a bun and left. Cling cling cling. The door bell rang, “ who is that?”, Emerald asked as she peeped through the door camera, “ohh it’s you pumpkin”, she said as she opened the door, she looked so excited and I could hear the joy in her voice as she took me in her arms and gave me a tight hug lols I could barely breath properly, she was literally squeezing the life outta me, “I know you missed me a lot best buh do you really wanna kill me, let goooo!”, I screamed, “fine!”, she screamed back as she held my hand and let me in, “I missed you a lot cupcake, has Ashley been feeding you at all?, you got slimmer”,Emerald complained as she checked me out, I could see the worry in her eyes, “ urghhh can you just pretend like you didn’t notice that please?”, I pleaded with her, “fine whatever… tell me how was it like spending time with Ashley and her concubines?”,Emerald asked as she sat comfortably lol she’s really ready for gossip, “let’s not talk about me now, let’s talk about you, what happened between you and micheal?”, I asked because I was really worried for her, “talking about that dude really pisses me off sugar buh since you’re asking I will tell you, can you imagine that dude asked me to cut ties with you, saying that you’re a dirty lesbian and me being around you will influence me negatively and when i refused he threatened to tell my parents that I have been hanging out with a lesbian and I told him to go ahead because for real I couldn’t care less no more so in the midst of the heated argument he slapped me and i slapped him back and broke up with him on the spot so he left my house screaming on the top of his voice that i will regret my actions lol the only thing I will ever regret is getting involved with a single minded fellow like himself”, Emerald said, I could feel the anger in her voice as she spoke, “wow that dude is really so pathetic and shameless, truth be told I never really liked him, he always gave this weird aura of a fraud but I respected him because he was my best friend’s boyfriend and how dare him lay his filthy hands on you, well good riddance to bad rubbish, the only problem here is that I’m scared that he might actually carry out his threat and tell your parents about our friendship and I don’t think your parents will like the idea of you hanging out with a lesbian, I also feel really guilty for being the reason behind all this”, I said as I sighed under my breath, I was genuinely worried, “you don’t have to worry about any of this hunny, I will take care of my parents and by the way none of this is your fault, Micheal is just an asshole and I would have kicked him outta my life sooner or later for a different reason so don’t let any of this get to you okay”, Emerald said as she rubbed my hands softly, “by the way I’m sure you haven’t eaten anything and you must be really hungry, I should order something for you to eat”, Emerald said as she pulled out her phone from her breast pocket, “okay best”, I replied as I laid my back on the soft couch, I was really exhausted.
