As I approached the entrance of the study, I was about to knock on the door when I noticed that it wasn't closed, just partially open. I gently pushed the door and it swung open. "Mr. Eugen, I brought your late-night snack..."
Before I could finish my sentence, my gaze fell upon Mr. Eugen's hand and my pupils constricted. I couldn't believe what I was seeing right in front of me.
It seemed that Mr. Eugen was also caught off guard by my sudden appearance. He looked up, his gaze sharp and penetrating, and quickly stood up, saying, "I can explain."
I couldn't hear what Mr. Eugen was saying anymore. All I could see in my eyes was the silver mask he was holding in his hand. This mask was incredibly familiar to me. It was the same mask that MK used to wear countless nights before.
