Chapter Five: The Club

Malia's POV
“Hello Mal, hope you're okay, you've been ignoring my calls.” the message read, it was from Allegra, I checked and saw I missed five of her calls, it probably was from when I was sleeping, I wondered if I should text back.
“Mal!” Allegra's voice came from outside my window “Mal are you in there?” I rushed to the window and opened it, she had this bizarre smile on her face “Can you believe your dad won't let me see you?” She said as she climbed in,
“He is not my dad,” I said as I folded my arms sitting down on my bed.
“What happened to your face?” She asked, her brows furrowing as she sat with me touching my face. “Did your dad do this?” She added, I just nodded and the thought of last night flowed through my mind, and I began sobbing.
“It's gonna be okay” She patted my back and I gave her a faint smile.
“Cheer up!” She jumped pointing at me with both hands, “I'm taking you somewhere tonight.”
“Where?” I asked curiosity riding my face, “shhh, don't ruin the surprise,” she said placing her fingers on my lips.
“I don't feel like going anywhere” I pouted, “don't worry everything's gonna be okay,” she said sitting back with me.
“Alright, I'll think about it,” I said, Her eyebrows furrowed “Is it your dad? Tell me now, I'll go kick his butt” She smiled making a fist. “don't be silly,” I said and we both laughed. “I'll pick you up at seven,” she said.

I put on a pair of jeans and my yellow top, oh how I love that top, my dad gave it to me on my eighteenth birthday before he passed, I sprayed some cologne,
“Liam, I'm going out,” I said to him as I opened his room door halfway, Liam was sitting on his bed so focused on his phone, “okay.” he replied not even looking in my direction.
I squinted my eyes, shook my head, and moved out.
“Mal!” She hugged me tightly with a flooding smile on her face. “Do you want to suffocate me,” I smiled back,
“So where are we going?” I asked stopping our movement, she replied with glee “To have fun.”
“You could have told me we were clubbing,” I said looking at her with disapproval as we arrived at the town's club, we've been here a few times before.
“Come on, let's have fun!” She dragged my arms as we moved inside, “wait here, let me get us drinks,” she winked at me. I was just standing there vibing to the atmosphere filled with music.
Suddenly my mouth dropped open as a young man stepped in, he was in a black suit, so handsome I couldn't help but stare, “someone's in love,” Allegra smiled as she came with two glasses of wine.
“He's so cute,” she added, “he looks kind off familiar,” I said, squinting my eyes.
“That's Logan, nobody knows much about him”
“Really?” I asked with curiosity written all over my face. “Yeah, he doesn't talk much, some say he is a Lane”
“Wait, you mean Alexander Lane? The late alpha king?” I asked with shock as I spat out wine from my mouth.
Alexander Lane was the alpha king of this pack, after he died Ragner Quinlan, his right-hand man assumed the throne.
“I don't know, just rumors,” she shrugged.
As I continued staring our eyes collided and I could see a faint smile on his face.
I turned away almost immediately “he caught me staring at him,” I said to Allegra as my heart pounded in joy.
I looked again, he wasn't there, “where is he?” I asked,” she laughed, “Come on Allie, let's find him” I dragged her, “fine, fine,” she said as she succumbed to my force.
“There he is!” Allegra said, pointing at him as he walked down the hallway, we followed in silence trying to keep our distance. Suddenly he stopped and turned around as if he suspected being followed, but we hid behind a corner of the walls.
“He's moving again,” I whispered as we continued following, he was out of sight as he took a turn to the left, “Ahhh!” Allegra screamed as she was dragged into a dark spot, I followed from behind.
“Are you following me?” Logan asked, “noo, we are just going that way,” she said pointing in the opposite direction. I just felt this deep connection to him as I stood staring.
“Wait, are you the guy from last night?” I asked with shock, he hesitated a bit before answering “I don't know what you're talking about.”
I came closer to him and felt his chin with my hands “I can tell you are him, that's why I was staring at you,”
He held my hands “My mate,” he whispered, “mate?” I asked, was that the strong connection I was feeling earlier? You can tell with full assurance you mate when you're able to s**t.
But before that, you can only feel a bit.
“You're my mate,” he said and chills ran up my spine, my heart was pounding fast in pleasure, I could see a weird smile on Allegra's face.
I hugged him tight “what took you so long” he sniffed me “You haven't shifted yet,” he said. “How can you tell?” Allegra asked in amusement,
“I can feel it,” he said to her “But don't worry, I'll be your wolf.” he said turning to me with a smile.
“Well let's go dance!” Allegra said with joy, “Sorry I don't know how to dance,” he replied, “We'll teach you.”
“I have to go take care of stuff, I'll be back if you can wait, would love to try,” he said. I couldn't entertain the idea of my mate leaving me now that I just found him.
“We can help,” I said, “go have fun okay? I'll be good.” he smiled as he kissed my forehead.
I was stunned and just stood staring, “Malia,” she waved her hands to my face. We went back to the dance floor, danced, and laughed for a while, “I want to have a drink,” I told her, “alright, let's go drink.” she said.
I took a cup, and requested for another, after requesting for the third Allegra looked at me with disgust.
“Come on Malia that's enough,”
“Enough? You don't know how happy I am, you should join me.” she declined by shaking her head.
“Everyone!” I screamed at the top of my voice, “She's scared of losing to me, she won't drink!”
“Fair enough b*tch,” she said as she accepted my challenge.
We took turns drinking, after
a few cups I couldn't feel my feet, felt like the hall was spinning and that was the last thing I remembered that night….
