Ashley I dashed out of the club at a pace, not looking back at all. Home was all that was in my mind and I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. It felt like I lost my life and regained it. After a while of running, I was off the block where the club was. I slowed down and panted, tears running down my cheek but I cleaned it to avoid any attraction. I halted my step to try and catch my breath but I didn't wait for long as my mind kept reminding me that he might be behind me. Every step I took felt heavier than the last. My mind was a battlefield, crowded with thoughts that clawed at me from every direction. I couldn’t shake the regret that had settled deep inside me. Why did I go there? Why didn’t I just stay at home like I should have? Why did I let my fears and suspicions control me?
