My eye fluttered open and I immediately noticed his absence. Hayden was nowhere to be found on the bed. I became conscious at once and looked around the room. I heaved a heavy sigh as I rested my head back on the pillow and tried to make sense of the whole thing. The door suddenly opened and he was standing there on the door with a smile on his face.
"You left me alone." I talked first in my groggy voice.
"I didn't know you were going to wake up soon. I only went to check something in the garage. I came back as soon as I could." I could read the honesty in his tone and his facial expression and that only made me have this special feeling towards him. I wanted to hold tight, feel him closer to me. I smiled slightly and gestured vaguely that he come over to the bed.
