Damascus stepped off the bus, the rest of the platoon following behind. As she did so, the second bus pulled up alongside, and Captain Anthony stepped out. He nodded.
“Good morning, Lieutenant. Did you have a good break?”
“Yes, I did, thank you, Captain.”
“Excellent.” He turned slightly. “Andrew, get these soldiers disembarked and assembled in the entrance hall as soon as possible.”
“Yes, Captain.”
The soldiers began to pile out of the bus, and, as one passed, she stepped out of the line, looked at Damascus.
“Good morning. I am Tanis Garcia Cortez, on detachment from Spanish army. Welcome to this company.”
“Thank you.” Damascus watched as Garcia walk
