Chapter 14: Breakthrough
Bea's pov
Today I am having another therapy session with Jake but after last nights s*x chat i don’t know what’s going to be said. when they left my room i couldn’t help m**********g over the image of me trading places with Abbie, i wanted them to have me on all fours filling my holes in all kinds of ways... "Bea, iv been waiting in the pool house 15 minutes for you is everything alright?" oh crap i was day dreaming about them and lost track of time. "sorry i got distracted... we could just do it here in my room" i totally mean that a different way. what ? no Bea get your head out of the gutter! "I'd rather not" "why? what difference does it make?" "it makes a difference because in your room you are the Bea that i herd come last night after our little chat. in the pool house you are my client and have to remain professional" i say nothing and walk past him at the door going to the pool house, no way he herd that i wasn’t loud... was i? my face is heated with embarrassment by the time i sit down for a session "so Bea today id like to talk about your emotional connection to things, what do you really like doing?" is he seriously not going to mention what happened? "well you were eves dropping last night. Maybe you already know what i like" oh s**t i said that out loud!!! the look on his face is one of shock but he soon clears his thoughts and smiles. "Jake I’m sorry i..." " it's alright Bea, what i said upstairs was unnecessary and unprofessional so how about we get this straightened out now?" i nod and agree " I am happy to be your shrink in this room. we can talk about anything except things between myself, you and Owen, that’s personal. personal like that sweet little moan you do right before your breathless squeak of release.. and how i think of that sound in the shower touching myself over you. things like that we talk about together with Owen elsewhere. do you understand the difference now?" what did he just say? no way does he think about me like that, does Owen too? "Bea... do you understand?" "yes i understand" "good now let's continue with today's session shall we?" we did continue without any more dirty talk involved, mostly just about what i like to do for fun eg cooking and beauty treatments. it seemed to be an easy hour compared to the last session, however i don’t think they will all be this easy.
The rest of my weeks suspension was spent in much the same way as the first few days, therapy, days with aunt Emma in the house cooking, cleaning and catching up on school work i have also been spending time with Owen or Jake sometimes both together but the longer i spend with them the more intense my s****l desire for them gets. nether of them have mentioned anything since the chat yet their have been more than one occasion of Owen flirting or Jakes heated gaze, is it possible they don’t feel the chemistry between us or are they just being men looking for a new play thing for a night or two? honestly i don’t know I’m getting a head ache thinking about too many things at once. maybe i need another girls perspective to talk about this stuff with, hopefully i can catch up with Chantelle when i get my phone back tomorrow before school starts again. today i am with Emma in the garden she’s planting flowers while I’m setting up a picnic for lunch on the lawn. "Bea dear are you looking forward to school tomorrow?" "not really Aunt Emma" "well I’m Shure your friends have missed you, it will be nice to see them at least" "yeah maybe" "oh and let's not forget the young man you have been seeing" just as that last sentence was said Jake and Owen walk up holding food and drink for the picnic. "you know Bea, William and i would like to meet anyone you are dating" "I’m not dating him!" said with more force than intended Jake steps up to me handing me a soda thankfully stopping the conversation "mom Bea is sensitive on this subject perhaps we could talk about something else over lunch?" "of course what about your birthday, that’s only a few weeks away, how would you like to celebrate?" my birthday... my 17th birthday, my first birthday without mom.
Jakes pov
my mom is on a roll of bad topics for Bea this afternoon i could see Bea's whole demeanour change from calm, easy and fluid to anxious, defensive and ridged. perhaps i should rescue her again however before i get chance my mother continues "Bea i would love the opportunity to make your special day one too remember for you, would you allow me too please?" Bea looks at her practically begging for this task and caves "Shure ok" that’s not what she wanted to say and we all know it but I’m happy she's considering another’s feelings so i lean in and whisper "well done" in her ear, she nods in response and takes a seat next to Owen. the remainder of lunch consisted of my mother talking about party ideas and concepts while the rest of us chimes in an opinion or suggestion. Bea is almost silent throughout making me aware she's thinking overtime in that beautiful head of hers. "Bea, pool house before you disappear upstairs please" i instruct her as we clean up outside, she doesn’t question me which is surprising perhaps she's excepting therapy after all. we get in and sit down like normal only this wasn’t a planed session i don’t have anything prepared or notes from last time. i will just have to trust my own gut and guide from my own experience like my dad advised me to in the past. "Bea i know how your feeling, i really do" "i doubt that" ok time to open up about my grizzly past "My birth mother died when i was 11, i was the one that found her. my 12th birthday was less than a moth after her death, i was in a new house, new town, new school living with people i didn’t really know." she looks at me in disbelief "why didn’t you say anything before now?" "because you weren’t ready to hear it, up until today you have thought only about yourself, your feeling, your hardships, your issues. after what i saw today letting someone else try to do something nice on your behalf knowing it will bring them so much joy was truly a breakthrough" "Jake...i miss her so much i cant even think about a birthday without her" at this point she burst into tears so i practically jump next to her wrapping my arms around her trying to console her. I’m unsure how much time passes when Owen comes in. "Trixie I’m sorry i didn’t know you had a session today, i will come back in a bit" "no" she shouts as he turns to leave extending her hand towards him pulling him beside her on the sofa joining us in an embrace. i will fill my brother in on the details later, for now Bea just needs to know we care about her and can truly understand what she’s going through.
"Trixie, id love to hold you all night long but iv got to get going, band practice tonight" Bea lets go of us both standing up fixing her crumpled outfit and wiping the tears from her cheeks. "it's ok Owen i need to snap out of it any way’s" "i don’t want to leave you like this... how about i make you smile before i go?" Bea agrees then Owen proceeds to sing Nat king Cole's song smile.
"Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile, and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile"
i will give my baby brother praise The song did the trick making Bea smile and cry and hug us both some more, before we all parted ways for the evening.
