We finished eating and we walked to the pack hospital to check on her. Out in the woods where no one was nearby, Luna Liliana stopped in her tracks and looked at me then knelt down.

“Damon I have to say this quickly so please never repeat a word of this.” She said.

I nodded.

“I promise Luna Liliana.” I replied honestly.

“Your father Mitchell, is not your father. Your mother cheated on him and you are the child of Archibald and Alison Wild. Archibald is your real dad. He’s also Mitchell’s brother. Your mother was forced to leave but was killed when leaving and Mitchell said it was Archibald for her rejecting his proposal so she could stay. You are like a son to me, and I am happy to be a mother to you. But Mitchell knows you aren’t his. He tested your DNA when you were born. He promised to raise you until you were 18 but he has been regretting it ever since. Please don’t let on that you know. He’s Lincoln’s Beta so that Lincoln can keep an eye on him.” Luna Liliana said.

“My dad isn’t my dad?” I asked.

Confusion was obvious in my tone.

“I am really sorry Damon, it’s true. But you have been safe because we have been watching you and protecting you from the truth.” Luna Liliana said.

“He might have killed my mum?” I asked

“Yes, I am so sorry to keep it from you but please don’t tell anyone you know.” Luna Liliana begged.

I know she never begs anyone, not even the Alpha. So I know this is really important.

“I promise Luna Liliana.” I say with sadness.

Luna Liliana threw her arms around me and hugged me.

“What happened to my real father?” I asked curiously.

“Damon, we honestly think he is seeking refuge in another pack. But when we searched for him, no pack has said they have taken him. I am sorry Damon but we don’t know where he is. He has completely disappeared.” Luna Liliana explained.

“Do you mind if we just go to see her?” I asked.

“Of course, has she chosen a name yet?” Luna Liliana asked.

“I think we should use the name Karla for her.” I told Luna Liliana.

“Karla? Doesn’t that mean brave? Or was that Kelsey?” Luna Liliana asked.

“That was Kelsey. Karla means strong.” I replied.

“Well we will call her Karla if she says it’s okay. Let’s continue walking there.” Luna Liliana said as she stood up.

We proceeded to the pack hospital and there was no receptionist still. The whole room was empty.

There was no one in sight. Luna Liliana went to sit down.

“Luna Liliana I want to ask, can I please take a few days off of school to look in the archives and spend time with her as well as get to learn more about her?” I asked.

“Of course you can, as long as the homework we get sent home for you gets completed before the end of the week and make yourself useful. Just help out with cleaning your own room and doing your own laundry while you aren’t in school.” Luna Liliana said.

I went to the water fountain and had a few sips but then Luna Liliana walked to the vending machine and bought some chips and drinks for us to snack on.

“I don’t know about you, but I get hungry when I am anxious.” Luna Liliana said as she handed me a drink and snacks.

We had our drinks and snacks and a few hours later the receptionist came out with the head nurse and they were staying quiet as they sat at the desks.

I stared waiting a bit but then I was getting impatient.

“Excuse me, can we get a update on my friend?” I asked rudely.

“Which friend is that?” The receptionist asked.
