Aurora…

I woke up and Alistair was asleep. I knew the conversation would be awkward so I slowly moved off of him. I didn’t expect my movement to arouse him. But I walked out and went to the front desk.

“Excuse me.” I asked politely.

“Hello Karla, are you okay?” the receptionist said.

“Yes, may I please speak to the Alpha or the Luna or Damon?” I asked quietly.

“Of course. One moment please.” The receptionist said.

She grabbed the phone and rang an extension.

“Alpha Lincoln, it’s Rebecca. Karla is awake and wishing to speak to the Alpha, Luna or Damon.” The receptionist said.

I guess that is her name.

“Yes Alpha. She is currently in a gown and needs clothes before she can leave.” Rebecca said.

“Yes Alpha, Karla will be out front in the waiting room.” Rebecca said.

“Goodbye Alpha Lincoln.” Rebecca said then she hung up.

“Please sit down. Alpha Lincoln will be by to bring you some temporary clothes. Then he will lead you to his office.” Rebecca said.

“Thank you so much Rebecca.” I said.

I sat down carefully. Tried to not let my gown open. I sat quietly then a man ran in with a plastic bag roughly 10 minutes later.

“Karla, please change into these. It’s temporary. We will help you get proper clothes tomorrow. We have a room set up for you.” Alpha Lincoln said.

“Thank you sir” I replied.

“It’s Alpha not sir.” Rebecca said.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” I said.

“No, it’s okay. You are Alistair’s mate. You can call me sir.” Alpha Lincoln said.

I smiled and waited a second.

“Um, bathroom?” I asked slowly.

“Oh, haha I forgot you didn’t know. There is no sign but it’s right there.” Alpha Lincoln said pointing across the room.

I walked across the room quickly. But when I opened the door it looked like the Alpha was watching me from behind as I walked into the bathroom. His reflection was look at me. I shut the door quickly and started getting dressed. And quickly hurried. I opened the door and handed the gown to Rebecca.

“Thank you Rebecca.” I said quietly.

“Come on Karla, we are in a hurry.” Said Alpha Lincoln sounding distracted.

“Yes sir.” I replied as I started to follow him out.

“Are you feeling up to running?” Alpha Lincoln asked from the doorway.

“I am sir. Which direction are we heading?” I asked.

“Straight through the trees.” Alpha Lincoln said.

“How about a race?” I suggested.

“Oh game on little wolf.” Alpha Lincoln joked.

“On your mark.” I said.

“Get set.” Alpha Lincoln said.

“Go!” We both said in sync.

We started running but I was a bit quicker. I jumped over the broken tree that was just in my way and I ran faster. I was seeing a clearing, but I knew better than to look back in a woods I have never seen before. Didn’t want to run into a tree. As I reached the clearing, I saw quite a few men running towards me but I did my best to evade them and then I reached the door as Damon tackled a guy that was literally about to attack me.
