“She said her mother was from one of these packs. Her mother was kicked out for leaving to be with her father. She will be in the logs. We can see which pack she belongs to.” Damon said.

“My dad gave me the impression that none of the packs knew her. Did you get her last name?” I asked.

“No, not yet. But I will research into it. Something doesn’t add up. Look Alistair I am sorry. I promised to keep it a secret, but then something she said didn’t add up. No wolf can jump the height she jumped without even a little sprain. That tree was easily able to break a leg. Hell I climbed a bit lower and I sprained my leg jumping. Something isn’t right.” Damon said.

I could sense his fear he was trying to hide.

“Look Damon, as long as you don’t f**k her then you and I are good. She is probably going to expect some more kisses. You have to so she can let you in to find out more information.” I said.

“There is something else.” Damon said.

“What is it?” I asked.

“I know you plan to reject her. But when you do, can I ask her out? It would also help me know her better. She will trust me more.” Damon explained.

This did make me more angrier.

“Whatever just don’t complain to me when your real mate comes along. Because you will be stuck with her and not your mate. Or you break her heart for your mate.” I replied.

“It’s worth the risk to find out what is happening.” Damon replied.

“Whatever, be stuck with that troll. I will talk to you another time. I am going to shower for school.” I replied as I walked away.

“Troll? Does he really not see the beauty in her? Well I am glad I convinced him it’s for knowledge. I now have permission to kiss her in front of others.” I thought to myself.

I showered and went downstairs to get something to eat.

“Damon, we want to talk to you. Can you see us before school?” Alpha Lincoln asked.

“Yes Alpha. I will finish getting ready first and grab some food. Haven’t eaten in a while.” I replied.

The Alpha smiled at me and went to the office. I finished getting ready then I walked to the office to find my dad, Alpha Lincoln, and Luna Liliana.

“You wanted to see me sir?” I asked.

I kept my gaze to the floor.

“Shut the door and sit down please Damon, we all want to speak to you.” Luna Liliana replied.

I obliged and sat down.

“You are interested in Alistair's mate? He told us about her. In fact we met her. What is her name? The fake one that she wants everyone to call her?” Alpha Lincoln asked.

“You know about the fake name?” I whispered.

“Yes, before she started school, the principal explained a bit about her and explained she cant be in the system with her real name due to hiding from family. So what is her name?” Alpha Lincoln asked.

“Well she told me to pick. It was between Karla or Kelsey. Kelsey means brave and Karla is French for strong. Alistair has given me permission to date her. He said he is rejecting her.” I replied.

“Alistair thinks rejecting a mate is that easy?” Luna Liliana asked.
