CHAPTER 6

ELLIES POV

The most beautiful girl stared at me back.

no that could not be me, surely ?

my hair was fiery golden brown with reddish streaks. its like my head was playing sick games with me.

my dull brown eyes were now sparkling green.even my acne skin was so clear rn.

" you love the new look?' my wolf asked.

saying my wolf felt strange on its own. i had never imagined this could happen.

" i was waiting for the right time ", she replied .

i kept quiet as thoughts of cole being my mate returned to my mind.

he hated me so this was futile. he was never going to accept me. i shuddered as the thoughts of being rejected hit me.

i would die from that rejection . this made my wolf whimper.

i just needed to calm down and think of a way of hiding myself.

i sprayed my strawberry perfume to mask my scent but i knew it was temporary my mate would sense it .

with these thoughts i moved my bed near the door and closed it .i could not risk anyone coming inside my room before i figured what kind of wolf i had.

"Open the damn door "' someone was barging on my door.

my heart thumped hard on my chest as i opened my sleepy eyes. it was cole clearly mad at us being mates.

i wanted to cuss him loudly but i could not let him know i was in here.after few minutes he got tired and left .

i was relieved but that was just the start.

with my heightened hearing i could hear him screaming as climbed the stairs. after narrating what had transpired i heard everyone encouraging him to mark kylie.

i waited for the pain or heartbreak to occur but nothing happened , i could feel the bond break slowly as he marked her but unlike other wolves i felt relieved.

i slept soundly afterwards as i awaited for the daylight.

"Wake up and prepare breakfast ,i don't know why you are still sleeping," kylies mother ordered.

the older Ellie run to the kitchen but the new Ellie was not going to be told what to do.

" i won't mother,cook for your family, " i replied as i let out a maniacal laughter.

my wolf seemed to agree as it purred .

"how dare you talk to me like this uh?'

" you don't want me coming in there because i will break your bones ".

my eyes were glowing now winter my wolf was fighting to be in control and just to show of it i allowed her to o it,

"try me woman, and i will have you begging me for death," Winter, with such a deep voice, warned.

She was not mad i could feel it. but i emanated so much power that the room was glowing.

My mother seemed scared because she left immediately.

she needed to get her s**t together and take care of her brats and big back husband, as i was no longer going to do it.

i quickly tied my hair in a bun and wore a muffin as i put on some brown lenses. I was not going to let anyone see my transformation, at least not now.

i used to back door to sneak out of the house. I needed to borrow some books and work.

you see i had to earn my upkeep, unlike my siblings, who had everything handed to them,

today the stares were still the same but they did not bother me. i was no longer the wolf less girl.their words no longer had any power over me and that elated me further.

i skipped down joyfully, which had the wolves staring at me

"its the wolf less girl again."

"Heard the beta and his wife adopted her from the human town" another one added but something else caught my attention

"Did you see the white wolf yesterday?" a boy not older that 20 asked his friend.

They were moving towards the library.

"yeah he was so big"', my dad says only the moon goddess is white so who exactly are they"' the other boy replied'.

''He disappeared before we could meet him though," the other boy added.

the constant mis gendering was throwing me off.

"why couldn't they believe it was a girl.?

the moon goddess herself was a woman so maybe if they weren't trying too hard they could see.

but that part of the moon goddess intrigued me.

I was going to read everything about her.

My day was pretty slow as most wolves did not love reading . i did not care though they paid regardless.

by lunch time my shift was over and i packed the books as i left for the house

Back home, Kylie laid on the couch .

"Ooh the wolf less ugly duckling is back" Kylie sneered.

" i rather be Wolfe less than have that small dirty mutt you call wolf", i clapped back as i moved to the kitchen to grab some snacks.

" ooh and before i forget, I need my bedroom back"

Of course, that weakling was crying. I had not even said anything mean yet she couldn't handle it.

"I know you are mad i was marked by your mate, but we love each other," she replied as she sobbed.

She was back to being the victim. Of course, her supporters were back.

She ran to cole as my two brothers moved to grab me.

" Kneel and apologize to her,"' Dylan retorted.

"I won't now do your worse ," i was tired of being their punching bag.

Max moved to knock me down but within seconds i had pinned him down. Everyone gasped .

Anna, seeing her boyfriend down moved to defend him.but i was not in the mood to fight wit anyone.

"Let's preserve our energy for important things ,"winter said.

For once in two years i climbed the stairs to my room. I was going to recover it or at least, I thought.
