Talieran's expression went from confusion to bewilderment to incredulous shock. Then that shock exploded like ignited dynamite into wild joy!
"Really?!" He shot to his feet, gripping Elena's shoulders so hard she made a small sound.
He immediately realized and loosened his grip, but the joy had already shattered his composure.
He swept Elena up from the bed, spun her around in place, his laughter booming.
"Amazing! This is amazing! Elena! You're really having my baby?!"
He set her down, cupping her face in his hands, blue eyes blazing bright, breathing rapidly.
"Dragons rarely have offspring! I thought we'd have to do it many, many times and try for ages! I didn't expect it so soon! I'm so amazing! No, you're incredible!"
