GETTING TO KNOW YOU

It has been 4 days after the engagement, and they have a schedule to meet up for the wedding plans. The Montreals will be hosting the lunch meeting at Shangri-la, BGC, together with the Blancaflor Group that will spearhead the wedding planning and all.

Both families will be present, together with some of their companies' executives. After all, this will not only be a meeting for the wedding but for the finality of the merger as well.

Mylene was seated beside Alex during their lunch. Wala siyang imik at puro tango lang ang sinasagot sa mga tanong sa kanya. She looked so bored and uninterested. Pag wala namang tanong sa kanya, nakatutok lang sya sa kanyang cellphone. As usual, ang mga mommies nilang dalawa ang hands-on sa wedding plans.

Alex was in his usual get-up of white plain tee and denim jeans. 

While Mylene was wearing ripped jeans and also a white top, Prada espadrilles, and again, with no make-up except a tint on her lips. Naka messy bun ang hair at suot nya pa rin ang Rolex watch nya at Cartier bangles na gold naman ang hardware this time. 

Pero may isang bagay nagpapagulo kay Alex at di maiwasan na mapansin. 

It was her smell. Napaka bango nya. Mylene is wearing a Jo Malone. He knew that scent but it has a different effect on her. She smelled so immaculate and it made Alex uneasy in his seat.

Dagdag pa yung di sya pinapansin ni Mylene at di sya mapakali.

"Are you okay?" pabulong na tanong nya dalaga habang ang mga kasama nila sa table ay busy sa pagpa plano at pag- uusap.

"Yes, I'm fine, thanks." sagot naman ni Mylene.

Bat ang cold ng pakikitungo nya? Di ba sya nagagwapuhan sa akin? wala man lang bang effect ang pagpapapansin ko sa kanya?

Kung ibang babae ay nagkakandarapa nang makuha ang attention nya, pero ang fiancee nya parang wala lang.

Siguro nagpapakipot lang.

"Hmmm, are you free tonight?" he asked her again.

Mylene looked at him, not really sure if he was talking to her. "It depends. Why?" she answered

"Ah, Can I invite you for dinner?" his eyes gleamed

She raised one of her brows to him.

"Can I say no, or do I have to say yes?" she asked him back.

Pakipot nga! Pero walang nag no no sa invites ko, lalo na pag babae. You wanna play hard to get ha, then fine!

Alex shrugged his shoulders.

"Well, I just think that since we will be getting married in 10 days, I would want to get to know you more." pa charming na sagot ni Alex kay Mylene.

"Is it important? I don't think it will change a thing. I mean, we may know other each or not, we are still getting married, right? So give me a better reason to say yes." pamalditang sagot ni Mylene na may irap pa ng kanyang mata.

Ok, she's cute but she's starting to test my patience and it's starting to piss me off!

But Alex was so persistent. Challenge yun sa kanya na mapa- oo ang babae and he wont give up now.

"Oh well, we can talk about the conditions for our marriage. I remember you told me that," he said.

"Yes, we have to. So I guess that is enough reason for me to accept your invitation." sagot ni Mylene.

Yes! Kitam, sabi ko na walang makaka no sa akin eh!

"So what time shall I pick you up?" he asked her again.

Parang one sided lang ang situation. Si Alex ang nagtatanong, sumasagot lang so Mylene at di man lang nagtatanong pabalik.

"You don't need to do that. I can drive. Just tell me where and I'll meet you there."

"Ooops, yan naman ang hindi pwede. Baka sabihin ng parents mo na di ako gentleman. I will pick you up." sabi ni Alex na nakangiti. This time, he will not give her a chance to decline.

But Mylene was also persistent as he was.

"Let me tell you bluntly Alexander. You don't need to pretend to be something you are not. I know your kind. Kilala kita. You never pick any of your girls up. I heard so many things about you." seryosong sagot ni Mylene

Alex sighed. "You got that right but you are not one of my girls. You're my fiancee. In 10 days, magiging asawa na kita so I will pick you up." diin ni Alex sa kanya habang tinitigan sya nito deretso sa mata.

Biglang namula si Mylene at di nya maitago yun. "Okay." sagot nya dito para makaiwas sya ng tingin.

Shiiit!!! Bat ganyan sya makatitig???? Parang tinutunaw na ako!

Alex noticed she blushed and she avoided his stare.

 Hmmmm... Ang cute nya. Sure na ako. Ang sarap asarin. Madaling mapikon.

Natapos ang meeting nila matapos ang halos dalawang oras at nang akmang tatayo na si Mylene sa lkanyang upuan ay mabilis na tumayo si Alex  to move her chair at alalayan sya. She didn't expect that.

"I will make a reservation tonight at 7 pm. Is that ok with you? I will pick you before that. Just wear what makes you feel comfortable." Bigla syang hinalikan ni Alex sa forehead na medjo ikinagulat nya kaya namula ulit ang mga pisngi nya. Pero inirapan nya pa rin ito.

Nakita ng mga parents nila ang gestures ni Alex at napangiti sila.

"Wow. You guys are starting to get along. That's a good sign." sabi ng mom ni Alex.

Alas singko palang ng hapon pero natapos nang mag prepare si Mylene. Naiinis sya kasi nakailang palit na sya ng damit, di pa rin sya nakuntento sa kanyang suot.

Bakit ba kasi concern sya sa isusuot nya? Eh wala naman syang pakialam kung  magugustuhan  ni Alex, di bah?

Finally, she opted for a body-hugging sleeved red dress na hanggang tuhod ang haba at high heeled Louboutin shoes. She's not driving tonight so ok lang na magsuot sya ng  heels. Isa pa, she had noticed kung gano kalaki ang height difference nila ni Alex, so a high heeled shoe will complete her looks. She put on her make-up na very light and simple lang but she chose to wear bloody red lipstick on her lips.

Then she checked on her watch. It's past 6 pm. She looked at herself in the mirror again and when she was about to leave her room, kinatok na ng mom nya ang pinto kayat binuksan nya ito.

"Anak, Alex is there downstairs waiting." Her mom paused to check on her looks. " You look great my dear. Enjoy this night." then her mom kissed her.

"Thanks, mom." and they went downstairs together.

Napalingon sya nang marinig nyang may pababa sa stairs nila Mylene. He was surprised and mesmerized by what he saw. 

Ibang Mylene ang nakita nya.

Napaka sexy nito sa pulang damit at nakalugay na buhok and...

My gahd, she looks so hot with that red lips! 

Parang gusto nyang lapitan at halikan sya hanggang mawala sya sa sarili!!!

Alex, kalma! Play your cards well, or else, titiklop na naman yan sayo.

Lumingon sa kanya si Alex at di nya maintindihan ang talon ng kanyang puso.

Alam nyang gwapo ito, pero mas gumwapo ito sa sulot na black long sleeves na naka open ang ilang button sa dibdib at naka tight fit black denim jeans at black shoes.

Tama nga si kuya, chick magnet sya lalo na sa dating nya sa suot nya.

Pero bigla syang napumula nang titigan sya ni Alex habang pababa sya ng hagdan na para bang hinuhubaran sya ng mga mata nito.

 Remember Mylene. Bawal mahulog. Maiiwan ka sa ere sa mga ganyang lalaki.

"Good evening Alexander! Am I overdressed or underdressed?" she asked nang papalapit na sya dito.

Shit! Napaka seductive ng boses nya. Parang husky at sweet na ewan! Ganito rin kaya boses nya when I bring her to come???

Unti unting naramdaman ni Alex ang paninikip ng jeans nya.

Tangina! Bat ba kasi naka fitted ako at naka tuck in????? Asan ang self control mo???

Boses lang yun at di ka na aarouse sa boses lang Alex!!!

Pilit na saway nya sa sarili.

"No, you look good! In fact, you look great and stunning. Shall we?" then he reached for her hands to guide her.

Luh, yun lang nasabi mo Alex???? Natameme ka ba dahil sa red dress? Or sa red lipstick???

"Mom, we're leaving!" sigaw ni Mylene para magpaalam sa mom nya.

"Enjoy sweetheart! Iho, take care of my daughter ha." sagot naman ng Mommy nya.

"Of course mam, I will," he replied.

Alex guided her to his car, a black Audi naman this time.  He tried to help her put on her seatbelt.

"It's okay, I can do it," Mylene said

"Tss, no let me do it for you." he insisted.

They both couldn't help the effect they have sa isat isa kung napapalapit ang kanilang katawan. That strong connection was just so hard to ignore. 

Mylene caught his smell.

Hmmm... Tom Ford Noir. Impressive.

Alex discreetly sniffed on her scent too.

Jimmy Cho. Good choice.

Nag aamoyan silang dalawa.. nang pa sekreto.

And after the seatbelt was put in place, napatingin si Alex kay Mylene and it seemed like their world suddenly stopped. 

That closeness was so suffocating. Bumaba ang tingin ni Alex from her eyes, down to her lips, slowly... 

And so Mylene broke the ice.

"So, we are we going?" tanong niya.

Alex suddenly snapped to his sanity.

"Basta. Just trust me. I'm pretty sure you will like the place." pa cute na sagot ni Alex pero inirapan na naman sya ni Mylene when he winked at her.
