07: Driving to Hawaii

| Franki | "Is this what you want? You've been eyeing me all night." She muttered firmly. "Do you want me to stop?" She asked. "No, please." My vision had gone hazy, I‌'m not one to do things in public, well... there was one time... but I‌ didn't stop Diana from peppering kisses down my neck and almost undressing me. I‌ didn't want it to stop. I‌ wanted to turn around and kiss her, but she forced me back in position. Her fingers made their place over my thin underwear, just brushing over my heat through the fabric. Then her slender middle finger found its way up my hot, dripping walls as her thumb toyed with my tingling c**t. I automatically slipped into a moaning storm as the familiar feeling of ecstasy finally returned. "Shh." She'd occasionally soothe me. She then added a second finger and picked up the speed of the thrusts. At one point I wasn't sure my legs will hold me up and I was absurdly glad for the support of the sink. I fought for breath at the feeling and grinded hard against her fingers, wanting them deeper inside. I‌ wanted to beg for more but she didn't want me to utter a single word. I did what she told me to like a good little girl. Small puffs of nervous air escaped whenever she made eye contact. She liked what she was seeing in the mirror. She couldn't get enough of the incredible pleasing sense of control and power that she had over me. And I‌ wanted it. I hope I made it clear enough how badly I need her to quench the crazy thirst coursing through me. "Franki... Good or bad news?" I flinched upon hearing Maza's voice. It suddenly dawned on me that there were other people in the room and I was absolutely wide awake, replaying the events of that night in my head. I was also cuddling Cosima, Maza's cat named after her favorite Orphan Black sister. (Tita = Filipino for Aunt) I hope she isn't some intergalactic cat who can read minds. I slowly covered her eyes upon realizing my filthy thoughts for the past few minutes. The poor, innocent kitty cat. It was ten in the morning and we were having breakfast at Maza's place. "Franki?" Maza looked excited and a little worried, if that's even possible. "Good news, then bad news, then say 'Oh Franki, it's okay because' — then give me the good news again." I responded while softly rubbing down the back of Cosima's head. "Okay, good news. Our company booked you permanently for our future events. Including this upcoming one in Siargao." My eyes lit up and was about to cry for excitement when she interrupted. "Full disclosure, this next event though... You're allowed to say no if you don't want to. I promise we won't fire you or hate you or anything..." She sounded apologetic. Why would I say no to an event in Siargao?! I've never been there and I've only heard good things. "C'mon, give me the bad news then the good news again. Convince me that it's not that awful." I demanded. She glanced at Juls who looked away and took a sip of her coffee. It was almost like, 'don't pull me into this Maza. Go and be responsible for Franki's ten am heartbreak.' This is bad. "Your ex booked this." Juls cleared her throat. "It's her sister's engagement party. She's going to be there, a life-sized demonic creature walking around the beautiful sands of Siargao. They're a good paying client so we can't refuse, our boss is going to kill us. But! Once again, you can say no, it's fine, really. Although..." Everyone started sipping their coffee. "It will be eighties-themed, like that Black Mirror episode, what was the title—San Junipero, yes, and there will be shirtless waiters... and her super hot female friends will be there... and lots and lots of free alcohol... and also great food—we found this amazing catering company and you can blast out your favorite eighties songs and synth tracks ugh it's going to be amazing... god it feels so good to let that all out we've been keeping this for months now. But of course, you're allowed to say no." There's no way in hell I'm missing all of that. I lifted the cat and gently turned her to face me, like a newborn baby. "What are we going to do Cosima? Do we give in and enjoy an amazing time in a beautiful paradise? Or miss out all the fun and possibly meeting all these desirable men and women Maza promised us?" Not gonna lie, I was kind of expecting the cat to answer me. Cosima purred. I exclaimed dramatically, "Oh sugar, what am I gonna do without you? You're the best cat! You're the only one who understands me." I made kissy faces and drew Cosima closer to hug her. "Did she just talk to my cat?" Maza asked giving me that 'how dare you look', her eyes bounced at everybody in the room. Juls chuckled. "So what did the cat say, Franki?" Jodie humored me. "She said, as much as I'd like to forget she-who-must-not-be-named ceases to exist after our breakup, the harsh reality is that she's still very much alive and sometimes I will run into her. I have a lot of bills to pay so I need to stop giving a s**t and suck it up and have a great time and drink all the free alcohol she's paying for." I confidently said. "My cat said all that? In just one purr?" Maza replied, her right hand on her hip. "Your cat and I have a deeper connection." Everyone laughed. "Let's go we're gonna be late. Thanks for the breakfast, J. And Franki, think about it babe, okay? No pressure." Juls gave Jodie a small hug, gave me flying kisses and they left. "We're having lunch at Sky's later. Do you wanna come with? They're gonna help me plan for the club's opening." Jodie asked while tidying up the plates and leftover breakfast. I grabbed my phone and opened my messages. ☑️Diana: Just got in, goodnight Franki. I don't know how many times I've read her message, stared blankly into space and sighed. I may have done that first thing when I woke up earlier. I didn't reply to her because that would mean that I'm okay. Am I not okay? What the hell do I want anyway? "Sure." I wanted to ask if Diana was gonna be there but chickened out. Jodie and I hit the gym which was just a few blocks away from Maza's place. We ate a nice and light healthy salad then she drove me to Sky's place. We reached an exclusive village. I found myself in front of a Paris style Neo-classic looking chateau. It was unbelievable. I didn't even know houses like this existed on the area. I remembered what Maza said about Sky and Diana's families. I wonder if Diana lived nearby before moving out. I wonder what her room looks like... We passed by manicured garden beds as we walked towards the entrance. "J!" Sky yelled as soon as he opened the door and gave Jodie a nice warm hug. Sky; Manila/London "And Franki right? Nice to meet you, again. Great set last night by the way." Sky's voice was low but it projected confidence, maturity and intelligence. How is that even possible? He just said a mouthful of words. "Thanks, sorry for crashing your lunch." My voice was thin and shaky. "Nonsense. Jodie's friends are my friends too. Come on in." We finally entered the house and the first thing I saw was a huge piano in the corner. "You play?" He asked, leading the way. He must've noticed I was staring at it. "A little." "Don't be decent, Franki's really good. She makes her own music. Check out Made Up Love Songs on Youtube." Jodie interrupted us. "Cool, will definitely do that." Sky then gave me the kindest smile that I've ever seen, probably in my entire existence. How does he do that. I think I may have blushed a little, I hate how he's being so nice, I wanted to hate him. Please be an arrogant asshole like Gino. "Heeeeey Jodie." Speak of the devil. What if Diana isn't here and I'm stuck with this guy? I suddenly lost my appetite and started thinking of excuses so I can leave. Gino folded his arms across his chest and said, "Hi Franki. Nice to see you again." With a smirk, hinting that he saw me last night. I nodded and averted my gaze. We reached a stone patio backyard with a dining area, fireside gathering and a tranquil pool providing a backdrop.          My jaw dropped at how beautiful the place is. I guess this makes up for that one shitty company. "Oh my god Sky! This looks unbelievable! I didn't know they finished the pool so soon!" Jodie's face lit up as soon as we arrived and ran directly towards it. We sat and ate a lot while they were discussing things that they can do for her opening. I pitched in a few ideas but Gino mostly just sat there and injected unwanted opinions. I can see how Jodie and Sky are used to his antics, they just kept ignoring him. Then the glass door slid open and there she was. "Sorry, just woke up." Her black rimmed glasses made her look every bit like a sexy librarian, maybe even better. "D, it's almost five in the evening. Are you feeling alright?" Sky asked. "Yeah I'm fine, just had a long night." She extended her arm and gently touched him in the shoulder. Is that... boyfriend-girlfriend activity? I mean I also do that to my friends. That probably didn't mean anything. I was sitting next to Jodie. The other two were in front of us. Diana walked around and sat in the host section, where our parents would usually sit. She then glanced at me and casually said, "Hey Franki." "Hey..." I wanted to say something else but I trailed off, my eyes drifted to another spot on the table. If no one was here my hand would be clutching my heart. "You've met, right?" Sky asked. He has this very innocent look like he has not done anything wrong, ever, in his life. "Yup, they've met." Gino cut in, with that unbelievably annoying smirk still on his face. I knew this was going to happen but Diana was incredibly calm. She explained that we met in Vegas and some other stuff that weren't entirely lies. She just left out a few, minor details. Like getting married and stuff. A few minutes later Sky's mom dropped by. She looked very sophisticated even with a few white streaks in her hair. She seemed like she was about to go on a business meeting somewhere. "So, will I be planning an engagement party soon?" She winked at us and gently stroked his hair. Gino coughed, Diana gulped an entire glass of water and Jodie just gave her a nice, innocent smile. I'm almost unable to breathe and I can feel every heartbeat unnaturally loud. Everything was hazy. I started fidgeting. Then I clasped my hands together and tried to breathe deeply. Get yourself together, Franki. You're gonna be fine. "Mom, please not now." Sky said dismissively, staring at his phone. "Honey, I'm getting older I need to see those beautiful grandkids." "Mom, you're embarrassing Diana. We haven't talked about it." Sky seemed upset. "Fine, just remember to pick me up later at seven okay, honey?" Then I didn't really know what happened next, my head started spinning. I thought about how they both haven't been acting like a couple since Vegas. Sky was always on his phone and I don't think I've ever seen them hold hands or kiss or any of that sort. Then there was a painfully long and awkward silence in the room, even Gino stopped with his pointless remarks. "Speaking of engagements, I heard Leila booked Spark? In Siargao?" I spoke too soon. He just can't seem to shut his mouth. How does he even know that? "Yeah, Maza and Juls are pretty stoked about it." Jodie flatly replied. "Didn't you date her sister?" He pointed at me, he was just on a roll. My ex and I have this fanclub where people were shipping us online and talked about everything we did together everytime they spotted us. Everyone knows I dated her, she's a lead singer in a popular synth band. They have a lot of fans. Their music sounds like Austra or Chvrches, I sometimes played drums for them. After we broke up, people started 'cancelling' her online when stories spread about her cheating on me. There was too much drama so I stopped using Twitter. More people reached out to me on i********: and during my gigs. God. I hate remembering all these stupid details about her. "Yeah I did." I answered weakly. I don't know what Diana's reaction was, I focused on staring at my empty plate, and my empty heart. "She cheated on you, right?" He just kept going. "G." Jodie glanced at me and mouthed, 'I'm sorry.' "Cheated on you twice-" He went on. "Gino." Sky turned to face him and cut him off. "Twice, as far as I know. She was quite a handful, wasn't she, Franki?" "That's enough Gino." Diana raised her voice. I stiffened and took a deep breath. I needed a moment to calm down my pounding heart. "I apologize for my friend over here for being an absolute asshole," Sky pat him so hard on the shoulder he almost fell from his chair. "You are very lovely and you deserve to be treated with respect." Sky comforted me with a very soothing voice. I suddenly felt a pang of guilt for hating on him during the last few days. I sat there, with a lump in my throat not having the best time all around. "Do you have a girlfriend? boyfriend? Husband, wife?" Gino eyeballed Diana then me. This f*****g guy. He just won't stop. I suddenly realized that he knows about us. Emphasis on wife. Diana flinched, it was subtle but I noticed it. I felt indignant anger stirring but tried to stay calm. Why the hell, of all people, would she tell him? I took a deep breath and let it pass until I get the chance to talk to her in private. Sky was still trying to make a conversation and continued to make me feel better. He mentioned about the incident with PA last night. "What a scumbag. Are you alright did he hurt you?" Jodie asked, Sky was shaking his head in disappointment. "I'm fine, thanks. He was drunk, so..." "How'd you get home?" Jodie added. Gino gave me another mocking look and never took his eyes off me. He was there last night, he saw everything. He saw how I hopped into her car and we drove off. "Franki will you help me with the dessert?" Diana quickly jumped in. I faked a smile and hurried towards the kitchen. There was a lemon meringue pie sitting on top of the island counter. I angrily took a knife and started slicing it. She came in after a few minutes and told me that Sky and Jodie needed to leave to pick up his mom and check some stuff out for the club. Gino had some trouble at his bar and left with them.  I felt like she may have punched him in the throat and demanded that he left. "I can't believe you told him." I felt a lump in my throat as tears were starting to well in my eyes. "God Franki, I'm sorry. This was not my intention—" "Why would you do that? Who else did you tell? Did you see how he's been treating me the whole time? Is this some sort of a joke to you? Do you guys find this amusing!?" "No one, no one else." She reached for my hand. Her voice was calm but edged with frustration and maybe regret, her eyes were begging. I hated how she caused all this but at the same time she was the only one who can alleviate my disappointment. She's so bad at apologies. But somehow I keep giving in. All the time. I wish I knew how to quit. I didn't have enough words to say how upset I was. I wiped the unshed tears shining in my eyes, angrily walked back to the pool, and jumped in with my clothes on. The place was a lot darker now. When I plunged underwater, it felt like time slowed down. For a few glorious minutes, everything was perfect. There was something very liberating and dreamlike. I swam deeper and deeper and got more comforted by that moment. Then I heard another splash. I emerged from the water for the first time and looked around. I took a deep breath and I dived back under and saw her swimming towards me. Her long dark hair that swayed against the water, those beautiful brown eyes that was slowly a few inches away from me appealed so much as moonlight casted on us from the surface. In that close distance I could register tiny details on her that I have not noticed before. Most importantly, I registered that warmth of her slightly parted lips resting against my own lips, kissing her and quickly emerging from the water as we both gasped for air. Our breaths escaped in soft pants, the contact between our eyes yet to break. It had me temporarily forget everything. Her long black hair was flowing around her like a thick blanket as water droplets visibly dropped on her face and neck. The thought of how pretty she looked in moonlight washed all over me again. "Underwater kiss? Really?" I say, still breathing harshly. "They always looked romantic in the movies." She flashed a smile. My arms were wrapped around her neck, resting them on her shoulder while she had her hands on my waist. We were just gliding in the water. Her hand gently cupped my face and my lips parted as if to speak, but all that escaped from me was a tiny breath. "I'm sorry, I'll try to be better." She whispered. "But you're with someone else." "It's not how you think it is." She added and pulled me closer. We kissed for a long time on the same breath, our lips and tongues meeting each other with a passionate ease. We kissed until my heart pounded madly and erratically while my mind spun, dizzying and intoxicating. When we finally pulled away and breathed deeply for the first time in god knows how long, I realized that she had me pinned against the corner of the pool. She grabbed the back of my thighs, making me wrap my legs around her waist and my arms over her neck and before I could blink she pressed me harder against the edge of the pool. Her slow and heated kisses made me breathlessly gasp for air. I felt myself moaning with longing and all of a sudden there is terrible heat building between my legs. I grabbed her furiously, desperately pressing myself against her. "So needy." She whispered through a smile. She bit my lip and I rewarded her with a grunt as she started taking my top off and laid them on the surface. She kissed the swell of my breast before unclasping my bra and once they burst free, the tip of her tongue started circling all around my n****e. I desperately needed more. She dived in and buried her head in my chest then took one of my n*****s into her mouth as I let out a long moan. My head fell back as I cursed between whimpers and allowed my hips to connect with hers. "Fuck..." She started sliding my cotton gym shorts off as she sucked and bit on my neck, her wet hair dripping down my chest. She snaked her hand down my core, the feeling of her long fingers deep inside drove me crazy. It made me needier than before so I thrusted forward, harder and faster with my hips, riding her hand. I gasped as she grabbed me then dragged me again for another kiss. Her finger ran in a slow semicircle around my c**t, then plunged back inside. I moaned and bucked against her as she rapidly f****d me. She held onto me tightly as I came with a small cry, clinging onto her. I buried my face in the crook of her neck while her hot breaths tickled me. "Would you—" "No, they might come back soon." Her voice was soft and comforting. We rested for a moment. We fixed and pulled ourselves up from the pool and a couple minutes later we heard car tires screeching on the road. As soon as they got back, Sky and Jodie gave us a confused look as we sat on the benches, soaking wet. "Nice pool." I said, running my hands through my hair. "Glad you ladies had a great time. Sorry we got into a bit of traffic." Sky then turned on some music while they continued talking about the club plans. "I love this song." Jodie started humming along. ♪ Driving to Hawaii Surfing down the street Dreaming of these places I may never see Maybe if we get there Things will be much easier ♫ Diana got up and took a phone call.
