Coop was on the phone with the Conroe Diving Club when I walked in.
“Do what you have to do, but I’m going to have Detective Gino Cataldi get in touch with you. He’ll show you where to look and explain what you’re looking for.
“It will be today. Probably in an hour or so. And don’t be concerned about payment. You can submit an invoice to him when you meet.”
She hung up the phone and shook her head. “Everyone wants to be paid before they even do the damn work.”
“Obviously you found someone.”
“A guy at the Conroe Diving Club. He has two other guys who work with him and they do this as side work. They did that recovery for Shell last year in the Gulf. That’s probably why they’re so damn expensive.”
“I heard you tell him I’d be calling. Who do I ask for?”
