The Trial Continues
The prosecutor first established that the guards logged in every car that came in or out of Bentwater, and that no one suspicious had entered or left for days before or after the murder.
Sanchez called the owner of one of the marinas on Lake Conroe. He testified that two boats had been found adrift on the lake in the weeks following the murder. “It’s unusual for something like that to happen,” he said. “Especially when no one steps up to claim them.”
He said that one boat had been found tied up in a hidden cove on the southern side of the lake and the other boat had been adrift.
“And what is your theory as to why the boat was tied up in the cove?” Sanchez asked.
“Somebody must have been hiding something or doing something that they didn’t want other people to see.
