The Final Witnesses I got into the station way earlier than usual. Ribs was already there sipping on his morning coffee. “Damn, you’re in early,” I said. “I expected you to sleep in.” “I was up with the crows,” Ribs said. “Up with the crows? What the hell does that mean?” “It means I was up early. If you’re up with the crows, you’re up pretty damn early.” “How early?” I asked. “By dawn at least. I know that. Crows aren’t ones to sleep in.
