Artemis POV “DAMN IT. Lana, don’t go that way!?” The words ripped out of me before I could stop them. My chest burned with frustration, not just because she ran, but because I knew why I chased. I cursed myself again for this morning. For leaning too close. For almost kissing her. For letting myself forget who she really was. My sister-in-law. My wife’s twin. What the hell was I thinking? Why did my body betray me every time she stood too close, every time her eyes widened in fear or defiance? Was it only because she looked like Luna? The same curve of lips, the same eyes that once made me fall so hard I built my whole life around them? Yes. That had to be it. And yet… I couldn’t shake the truth buried deep in my gut. With Lana, it wasn’t the same. It was rawer, messier, unpolished.
