I was stupid. Bringing Lana here was the biggest mistake I’ve made. I’d intended to teach her a lesson—for conspiring with my wife, for making a fool out of me—but instead, all I’ve done is drag her into the middle of this family circus.
Not even an hour has passed since we arrived, and already the drama has begun.
To this day, I still don’t understand why my mother despises Luna. At first, she was thrilled. She worried I’d grow old chasing women and end up alone, so when I brought Luna home, she practically glowed with approval. She even insisted we spend a week here after our engagement.
