Chapter3

1010 Words
It wasn't strange for Patrick's father to call us at times like this. It was more like a tradition that occurred every time the pack triumphed in a battle. Everyone in the pack came to celebrate with their various family members during times like this, but mine was different. My foster parents were never around for me from the very beginning, and they went out to witness the world when I was 18. Even though my biological parents died as heroes, I still miss them. My foster parents didn't help much, as they reminded me that I was just an orphan that they had found under a burning tree house, halfway dead. I don't know how I was brought out or revived; all I knew was that I was alive in the hands of some scholars. "So how about we make this night one of our numerous dates and outings?" I heard the love of my life say as I looked at him with my eyes glaring into his. "I think I have things to do, but I will try to make an exception for you this night," I played with his round and soft nose. He laughed, taking me by the arms and drawing me closer to him. My heart fluttered as I looked up at him. I saw his handsome and endearing face staring right at me, but I was more focused on his lips, which were coming closer to mine. "Ehm, you guys forgot about me, right?" The lady had finally removed the bell from her legs and was unto us. "Why don't we finish this once and for all, my charming little angel?" Our noses touched as he nibbled on my lips before leaving to finish off the lady. "Oh, I thought your weak girlfriend told you how strong I am. I can take both of you on without flinching or using my full strength. " I perceived her bad breath as she kept on spilling thrash from her mouth. Patrick's eyes turned red as he also transformed into a full wolf. He was really angry, and I could see from his eyes that he had reignited his murderous intent. Taking her neck in his hands, he choked her, making her beg for air as he refused to give way for her claws to cut him off. "If you ever speak ill of my baby ever again, I will make sure you never get to see the light ever again," he said, tossing her into a brick wall. Her muscles became flaccid as she transformed back into a normal lady. "The intruder has been taken hold of and will be taken to the cells of doom for more questions." A smile appeared on Patrick's face as he looked at me. "Baby, while I am busy taking care of this intruder, I need you to go home and get dressed in a beautiful gown, because this date will mean a lot to me, his lips whispered in my ears before leaving with the intruder to the cell of doom. She knew he would be at the Silver Cabin after taking care of the intruder. The silver cabin was the home of Alpha and his beta. It was the largest cabin in Lounge Town, and it had quite exquisite features, being the oldest home in the entire town after the main cabin, which could hold the entire town without leaving a single person behind. I turned to leave for the place I was staying. It was a two-room cabin with a brown color, which I had inherited from one of my bosses after completing a dangerous mission for her. Since then, I have been living and surviving the struggles of life with the house keeping me from sleeping around. I was so stressed out from the fight as I entered my cabin, staggering to get a grip and shutting the door behind me. I felt a little relieved as I landed on my warm and comfy bed in retirement. I still had some hours to sleep, and I was willing to take the risk since I was going to be up all night partying with the entire town and my one and only Patrick Freeman. I laid my head down on the bed, waiting for the cool breeze to take me into the land of mystery and imagination. I kept thinking about my time with Patrick as I rolled around the bed, twinkling in delight. "Hey, Silvia Aren't you going to the festival? I felt a hand tapping me on the shoulders as I opened my eyes slowly. "What time is it?" I asked sleepily. "It's 30 minutes past the normal festival time. Everyone has already left, I heard her say. I jumped to my feet to finally see Lizzy Kendrick on my bed in a full-sized flair gown. "Why didn't you come earlier?" I flared up, rushing to the bathroom for a quick shower. Not spending up to two minutes, I was out cleansing the water off my skin. I moved to the wardrobe, not halting in my movement. I ransacked the wardrobe, looking for the perfect clothes to put on for the festival. After searching for some time, I finally found it. The red ceremonial gown that the town expected everyone to put on. It was the dress code of the festival, and anyone who defied the laws of the pack was to be banished. What a strange pack I ended up in! "Let's go, girl." I walked up to Lizzy, who was busy playing with her fingernails. "It's about time. I am sure my darling prince in gold armor, Walter, would be really angry at me due to your overly long sleeping hours… She cried out as we walked out of the house, clicking the door shut. "I am sure Patrick will also be waiting for me right now," I said, holding Lizzy's hands as she ran towards the town square. "I am sorry, ladies, but you won't be going to the festival tonight.”
