Silvia’s POV
I turned around to meet face to face with Ella. “ Seems like we have Patrick’s ill fated mate here,” Ella mocked, facing her servant who joined her in her crazy laughter.
“ Just ignore the mad fellow here, let’s get down to why we are here,” Emma pacified me and at the same time stylishly abused Ella.
“ Who are you referring to as mad? You this worthless fellow. You are not even up to my servant,” she flipped her hair backward proudly and I shook my head at her in pity.
Emma was so enraged by her pride and was prepared to have a banter with her but I wasn’t in the mood for all their dramas so I gently held her hand to calm her down.
“ I don’t even know what Patrick sees in you. Classless orphan,” Ella said harshly with an ugly scowl, not bothering to put on facades.
“ You look so ugly that Patrick that even grew up with you didn’t fall in love with you. I am so disgusted with your ugly face, I feel like I will vomit if I spend more time here,” Emma bantered and I couldn’t help but smile inwardly. I am impressed by what she said.
I didn’t say anything all through their banter, I was waiting for them to finish so that I can get down to why we are here.
“ Who are you calling ugly? Definitely not me,” she was fluttered that she looked so red from anger. She turned to her servant. “ I am not ugly right?” She questioned and we bursted into laughter.
“ No ma’am, you look like a goddess,” her servant responded with a slight bow.
“ I will deal with you this rascal,” she rushed towards me forgetting her status but I moved away slightly which made her fall on the ground with a heavy thud. She was looking like a crazy woman with her hair scattered all over her face and the audience that also came to get some dresses had already gathered around us. Some were pointing at her on the floor, laughing at her display.
I gently covered my mouth to prevent myself from laughing, She was looking so funny then her servant walked closer to her and whispered something to her hair.
“ Why are you guys looking? What are you jobless people staring at? Disperse right now!” She screamed, pointing at people around us.
The crowd gradually dispersed leaving only us standing. “ I promise to get back at you for this humiliation, write this down,” she threatened and turned back to leave.
“ Your lipstick is smudged and your face looks so old, especially your nose, it looks rumpled. Did you do surgery on it?” Emma further teased and it got to Ella. She ran to a nearby Mirror to check her face and makeup but realized nothing was wrong with it.
She flicked her finger at us and stormed out of the building with her row of servants.
“ I really love the look of anger on her face,” Emma said as she bursted into a fresh round of laughter after Ella had left the building.
“ She is so dumb to have wasted our precious time. You are too gentle for my liking that’s why she has the audacity to address you anyhow,” she pouted as she spoke out her displeasure.
“ I didn’t know you have such a bad mouth, you didn’t even caution your tongue at all,”
“ You know that I don’t joke with you right? Noone abuses my friend and goes scot free. Moreover, I have been searching for this kind of opportunity for a long time, she is too prideful and an absolute bully. I love the way we put her in her place today,” Emma ranted while I just stared at her facial expression which didn’t hide her hatred for Ella anytime she make mention of her name.
“ High five,” We shook each other’s hand then proceeded to the ball gown section.
“ I really don’t have much on me, so let’s go for the cheapest gown here,” I whispered to my friend, coming clean to her so as to avoid embarrassment later on.
“ Trust me to work on your budget. How much do you have with you currently?” She communicated back to me in a low voice and I told her the amount with me.
She faced the attendant with a smug smile and proceeded to ask her a few things. They communicated with each other for God knows when but I couldn’t stand any longer therefore settled down on a soft couch that was not far from where we stood previously.
After what felt like eternity, she came to join me and we tried out several ball gowns which Emma condemned the majority. “ This is the real deal!” she exclaimed when I tried the last purple fairy ball gown with silver shimmer around the tail of the gown.
“ You look like a gorgeous princess from a fairy tale,” she hyped me and a Pink blush crept its way to my face.
“ How much is it?” I asked the attendant. She told me the amount which wasn’t too expensive, at least it’s still within my budget.
“ We will get the dress, pack it up for us,” Emma told her and we made payment instantly.
We also shopped for other things that we needed for example, the jewelry, make up and other little things that will highlight my look. We also got some of Emma’s stuff and left the building.
By the time we finished, it was dawn already and everywhere was becoming dark. Then we went our ways promising to catch up with each other the next day, which was the day of the ceremony.
I got to my entrance only to meet the person I least expected. Patrick?
“ Hi sweetheart, You didn’t tell me that you were going to visit me, how long have you been here?” I was excited to see him so I quickly dropped my Paper bag on the floor and rushed to hug him but I was astonished when he stylishly avoided my hug .
“ I am a bit sweaty from running a long distance here. Are you coming to the mating ceremony tomorrow?” he gave a petty excuse with a look of guilt.
“ Sure, I will,”
“ Can you not come?” He pleaded and went on his knee instantly
