Silvia’s POV

He released me from the tight hug but still didn’t say anything for the next few minutes so I got curious and asked “ What do you want to tell me? Don’t leave me in suspense” I rested my hand on my chin, staring and patiently waiting for him to tell me what was on his mind.

“ It’s nothing big though,” he said, putting me in more suspense

“ Tell me already, don’t leave me hanging,” I pouted at him to show my annoyance.

“ The thing is…I love you so much,” he said and bursted into laughter. I also joined him in the laughter but I could feel that something wasn’t right

I know him well enough to know that something is on his mind but I will just wait for him to reveal it to me.

“ How could you make such a silly joke,” I playfully hit his shoulder and he pulled me closer to him.

“ I just said I love you, don’t you think you should assure me by responding to that?” He flirted shamelessly and I hit his shoulder again smiling like an i***t.

“ I don’t have to tell you that again, I have said it several times but I will still say it again. I love you so much and I don’t think I can live without you,” I declared and he pulled me to another hug.

“ Now, I am rest assured that you truly love me,” he smiled and released me from the hug.

“ No matter what happens in the future, you won’t leave me right?” He questioned with an eyebrow raise.

“ Which kind of question is that? What prompted it?” I inquired, he is actually acting weird today and I can’t pinpoint the cause of it. Everything was fine hours ago before he departed.

“ Is anything the problem? You know you can always talk to me right?” I was hoping that he would tell me what was wrong with me even though there is a high chance that he won’t disclose it to me.

“ Nothing is wrong, trust me on this. You are just overthinking things, will you answer the question now?” He persuaded me.

“ Okay, I love you to the moon and I will never leave you for anything or anyone. You are my life, my hope, my everything” I declared and this ignited passion between us instantly.

We stared at each other for only God knows, different emotions were surging from our body. We gradually closed up the space between us and Patrick was still engrossed in staring at my face as if he wanted to analyze it.

“ I have to rush back to the cabin now. I think it’s urgent,” he replied and left immediately. I was dumbfounded by what just happened but still didn’t attach much meaning to it.

This is the first time that something of such will be happening, so I didn’t dwell on it much and went back inside the hut. I decided to arrange my room that was scattered when my friend rushed in.

“ The annual mating ceremony date has been announced and it’s next tomorrow,” Ella was breathing heavily but she still managed to pass the message to me.

Why did they suddenly choose the date?
