Dexter tried his best not to let his face show just how surprised he was to find Christina sitting nonchalantly at a table, alone in the inn at Auschstadt. At the same time, despite the fact she was dressed in a heavy brown monk-like habit with only her head visible, he couldn't help be entranced by the sheer beauty of her face, her elegant features and the well-remembered intensity with which her eyes looked so deeply into his that he felt as though they might penetrate his soul. Her hair hadn't changed either and the remembrance of running his fingers through those long, luxuriant, dark tresses made him wish for the opportunity to do so once again. .
