Chapter 47—Bond Together

(Sebastian's POV)

Although the outcome of the case is uncertain, I am putting in my best effort to get it passed, and I hope to locate the offender by today.

There is still a lot of procedure that needs to be done, and I need to hire a detective to do it, even if it costs me something else. I need to invest for the good of my business. That is the only thing I need to offer myself right now. I need to pull as well, keep up, and follow this.

When I think about my wife's health, I always overthink that I won't do much to improve it; all I wanted was peace of mind and the ability to keep up with what I was planning to do with my life, as well as the opportunity to expand my business as it develops.

I detest being surrounded by a lot of people I don't trust enough, and this is a business I must run.

I need to do something about this and serve as much as I can; I don't need to wait any longer before I can take on having the grant for everything else I need to do with my life. I need to do something about this.I wanted to achieve the true success I deserved for this, so no one will ever interrupt me again.

I said to Selena, my personal assistant.

"Hello, I need to have something to tell you, Miss secretary."

I need to bring the fortune and talk to her about it so that the case can be handled as successfully as possible; I don't want to ruin my life just for this; I also wanted to make more progress in life, and I don't think I should cause more conflict for this. I don't think I can handle it any longer.

"Yes, Sir, what do you mean?"

"Please conduct research and hire a well-known and successful detective in this city.I need to work with that detective as soon as possible; we need to do more investigation; I'm not happy with the length of time the case will take," I said.

I need to be more careful with that. I want someone who is more professional in this field, and I don't think it's easy to find one. Give me the most intelligent detective on the list that you may know sooner, and make sure you will show me his or her credentials before she or he passed.

I need a detective who is more adept at performing the duties assigned to him or her.I want to influence the course of my issue's development.Naturally, the actions they promise to others will not be tolerated.

"Sir, I don't know anyone in this city who is skilled enough to do this job.But there are a lot of well-known detectives in another city, and we might hire them and bring them here to work on the project until it's settled. Do you think that would be okay?" she inquired.

That someone outside of the city will have the time for it is fine with me; it is not really the case for that; all I know is that I need to keep track of what I will do.

"Well, you know what? As long as he or she is obedient, respectful, and dedicated to her or his job, so mo done that will not be letting me down based on his or her aura, it's okay for me even if he or she is not from the city.If I plan to go.I'm fine with the decision to choose someone who will choose me as their boss.I don't have any other pride; all I wanted to do was fix things that were clearly wrong and needed to be fixed. I don't think I need more sympathy any more; what I do need right now are real people who are willing to make changes for something so that they can tell me that it is worthy to offer something that will make things better than they should be. I don't want to make something difficult for myself."

I responded, "I must talk to that detective sooner as possible, I don't think that it will be fine for me to take things slowly as it is, I don't have time to waste anymore, I am chasing my own time as well, all of the things that we must do right now is to be more cautious on what we can do with the issues that is emerging, and don't make it worse than it is."

I don't think that it will be acceptable for me to take things slowly as it is.

"I understand, Sir, that we will locate one as soon as possible; however, in the event that I do not locate one, Sir, will you instruct me to cease looking for one or continue?"

"That's my cue, there's no need to stop looking for one; there's no stopping."

That won't help us if we give up, and I don't think it will help anyone else either. I don't want to waste my time either; I have a lot to do, and it's always been necessary to get things done as soon as possible. You should also consider the fact that many people are willing to seek justice but lack the funds to do so.I'm willing to pay the detective whatever is necessary so long as my conscience is satisfied.

However, I don't want to continue without taking action because I know there will be another problem in the future, and I don't want that problem to happen again. It is draining me a lot, and it is not good anymore. I wanted to make more changes and be happier than I should be.

"We will try our best to look for one, Sir Sebastian."

"I am paying you to find for one, and you can't tell me that you can't find one!"

"This is not just something I tell you to do; it is crucial that it be done as soon as possible, and I don't want to continue wasting your time on it.I want to hear directly from you that you should be able to find one; it's not your money in the first place, so don't rule me over!"

"You already know that I am always a seeker for just and fair movement of this company, and there is nothing that I can do but to make the company better."

Because my secretary continues to oppose me as if she knows the deal that well, I yelled and became enraged.She doesn't know what's really going on, which is troubling. I don't even want to pretend that I'm not affected by this; if I don't act, the situation will continue to get worse and worse.

She continued, "Sir, sometimes I also need to say the things that I think is right; I don't want you to be disappointed you know if we will not be able to find one as you need them, and we can't find one that will qualify your standard, we know that your standard is high, so of course we are going to find a detective that will fit your standard and can handle you."

She added, "Sir, sometimes I also need to say the things that I think is right."

I agree with what she said; I want the detective to do better work for me, and I don't want someone to play games with their services while I pay them a lot of money. This is unfair to me as well, especially if the case isn't going to be solved; it will be even more ridiculous to waste my time on another piece of crap.

Selena stated, "We will do our best Sir Sebastian, and we will not let you down for it; we know that it should be a priority right now for the stability of your business."

"Yes, and I anticipate receiving your report soon.I added, "I will be waiting for it."

I was left alone, and I spent as much time as I could contemplating whether my plan was the right thing to do. I don't know if this is even right, but I think it is. She bowed to me and then left the office.Also, I shouldn't disappoint myself, and I'm hoping that my plans go well. It's not always easy to keep trying, but I'm just trying to do what's right and the best I can for myself. I don't want to keep thinking about things that will make me unhappy because that's not my thing.

While I'm working in my office, I've been hearing a knock at the door for quite some time.

"Who are you?"

My fiance came in when the door opened. She was holding a piece of paper. It's unusual for her to come here directly because she hasn't always been here. However, I do sometimes wish she would come here so she could see me or have a conversation with me. I only want her to talk to me when things aren't going well because she is my home and talking to her makes me feel free. I just wanted to make things easier for me to take.

"Babe, oh, you're here; I'm glad you're here," I said.What's the matter, and why are you here now?Do you require anything?"I said.

I wanted to inquire about why she keeps biting her lips and has a worried expression on her face. I also sensed that she was feeling a little bit stressed.

"Nothing Sebastian, I just really missed you a lot and want to spend some time with you right now. I'm worried about everything that's going on around me, and I've been thinking about you a lot lately as well, and I wish you the best.I don't know, but these days I felt nervous. I just wanted to know if you were doing well and because I felt like I could feel a painful feeling every time I thought about the problems you were having.She stated, "I don't want you to keep thinking about it as much as I do."

After getting up, I gave her a hug, patted her head, and tried to comfort her.She's very worried right now, and she's been like this for the past few days, so I don't think things are going well for her.But I'm hoping that the rumors that are going around aren't making her stressed out. I'm also hoping that she will enjoy her time working for my company. I shouldn't worry about this because my girl will always do things to make herself feel better.

"What is the issue?Please inform me of it, okay?You need not be depressed about the issues we are addressing, okay?I am here, and I always make you feel safe. I don't want you to feel bad about it. I'm not going to be like this. I'm handling the problem right now, and let's just hope that it will be successful enough for us to take it over. I don't think we should be saddened about what is happening right now. I know that we are going to get through all of the problems that we are having, you know me right?You already know that I will never stop working toward improving our future."

"Yes, you're correct, Sebastian. I'm just a little sad because, you know, I'm a little scared of what's going on right now.I just kept thinking about you and wondering if you were doing okay. I don't want to see you suffering as well, you know; it makes me feel sad as well; it's just that, I don't want to make you feel bad about the things that you are doing too. It's just I don't know, my feelings were being tricked.She advised, "You should focus on your own goal and don't think too much about me. I know that you are under pressure with what you are thinking right now, but it's okay; we can't make things better as they are."

"Aww, it's okay; we need to accept that nothing in this world is perfect; the only problem is that we will face additional difficulties in the future.We need to be more careful about what we do, we need to spend as much time as we can being happy, and we need to be happy together. In the coming months, we will be married, so we need to make ourselves happier than ever. We also need to spend time together. I just want you to feel safe while we are here."

"Do you think it's okay?I don't know, baby, but I keep thinking about it because it makes me feel like I'm not doing the right thing. I want you to know that I'm always here for you, so please, don't worry about the bad things, okay?Let's keep things upbeat as usual. I don't want you to feel like you've been left behind in life's shadows and darkness. I'm here with you. Just feel like I'm here with you, okay?I'm always glad that your business is doing well, but I don't want this to happen."

"Baby, I just wanted to let you know about this as well. I'm actually hiring a detective, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.Do you believe that's appropriate?I just think it won't be good, and I keep thinking about it. I don't want to blame myself when I don't do anything about it, so I'm going to do something about it as much as I can. I just want things to be done better than they should be."

"Of course, Sebastian, I hope that we will receive what you discover and what you sought with justice.You don't deserve this; I always hope that employees perform their duties correctly, but you end up being dissatisfied with them.Should we do something to help them gain knowledge from their experiences?And maybe hire more people?"

I was shocked when she said that because I didn't want to fire some innocent people. It's wrong in so many ways, too wrong, and I don't want to do that, especially when there are people working hard to improve the company as well.

"No, that's not good Snow, I don't want to do that because it's already too much. If we do that, there is no guarantee that the problem will be resolved. You already know that I don't want to harm anybody else. "

I believe that when we find that detective, we will know that whoever that culprit is, we will be able to know the person behind this case. That's the thing that is much better than firing everyone. It's not just right to fire them all. We still need those people. Even if there is only one culprit, we can't sacrifice those people to take down their job just because one of them is at fault.

I don't want her to think that I don't agree with her because she is nodding at me, so I assume she agreed with what I said.

"Are you angry?"

"No, Sebastian. I just don't want the trouble near you. You already know that I always think of things that will make you feel better.I don't want you to feel bad about me either, like I don't care enough about you.She continued, "It only seems like I'm not showing up a lot with the problems, but I have always been positive with what I am doing right now."

"You know what, I am just so happy that I am going to have more courage together with you to get through this problems, that's why I wanted to see you right now," she said. "It only seems like I'm not showing up a lot with the problems.

"I understand that; it's not really easy to put things into action, especially when we don't know what will happen, but I am thinking that we should continue doing what we are about to do, baby; you know that I am thinking a lot about this."I stated, "I don't want the trouble to happen again." I am hoping that when we return, things will slowly return to normal in the company. We should really go on a trip while the workers settle for this.
