SERENE’S POV
When he fell silent, I looked up, realizing that he had fallen asleep again, his breathing deepening. It seemed like he had just been sleep talking earlier. I adjusted to get up, but just like before, he stopped me from standing up, so I found myself looking at him again. He still had his eyes closed, and feeling tired myself, I decided to let things be and sleep in that position.
As a result, I didn't sleep well, but I woke up early nonetheless. Stefan was still sound asleep, so I got up quietly, trying not to disturb him. I went upstairs to my room to freshen up and change.
